An excellent location for us as we were down for a friends wedding at Brig o Doon which, as it was just down the road it meant we could walk back at the end of the night. Kirsten did a great fry up in the morning at any time we wanted (was much needed with slight hangovers) which set us...

We stayed at The sherwood on the 26th july 2014 for our wedding anniversary and it was absolutely faultless !! Kirsten can not do enough to make you feel truly at home. Having no plans for dinner Kirsten recommended at pub just up the road and also made reservations for us, when I say pub don't be fooled into thinking...

We stayed at Sherwood on our way through the area, and wished we had stayed longer. The owners were very friendly and helpful. The room was large, modern, very tidy and we appreciated the lovely homely touches throughout. Breakfast was pleasant and the owners were very attentive to our needs. We had our own bathroom which was lovely, great shower!

I booked the Sherwood for my daughter and her partner as they were attending a wedding at the Brig O Doon. They absolutely loved it. Fantastic hosts in Kirsten and her husband, a beautiful and immaculate room, and delicious breakfast. Location perfect. We have already highly recommended this little gem to our friends and family. So handy to everything - cute cafe The Secret Garden and great gastropub within a five minute walk and all the big name golfclubs an easy drive away. Warm and cosy, fast WIFI in the rooms, great shower, and a huge, delicious cooked...

Everything about the Sherwood was great! She even recommened a great place to eat close by that was a winner in our book! The king bedroom was awesome and our breakfast kept us going most of the day. The deer park across the street is lovely and their dog Sally gave us a nice send off, if you in the...

Just returned from a great 1 night stay here. As newly opened, I was concerned about the lack of available feedback, although was pleasantly surprised and very impressed by what I found. A large family bed & breakfast in a beautiful part of Ayr, my room was perfect for my needs and the price was very fair. Breakfast was the...

Having had a recent business trip to Ayr I decided to avoid the usual B&Bs/ hotels and I was pleasantly surprised. The new owners have opened their home to paying guests and it is an absolute delight. Couldn't fault the place or the service and future business trips will be spent here.
