We arrived early before check-in time, parked the car and headed into town for bit of shopping. Hazel checked us in when we returned, explained about keys, preorder breakfast form etc. Room was spacious considering it had 2 singles beds and the en-suite was just as roomy. Nice little touches like offering to take our cases up to our room,...

Thanks so much for your comments. Glad you enjoyed breakfast, especially as I had let Hazel have a few days away. Sorry it took a minute or two longer than usual! Hope the two of you will return in the summer, when the garden will be at its best, and you can sit outside with a glass of Prosecco! Charlie

We've been at the Colia Guest House a few times over the last three years . The rooms are very nice and clean, the breakfast is great and Hazel and Charlie are kind, helpful and really lovely. It' s like visiting your favorit aunt and uncle... you feel welcome and at home.

Nicely located just across the road from the train station, which was perfect considering as to how we arrived by train. ;) Instantly made to feel comfortable by Charlie and Hazel. Lovely comfortable clean rooms with cosy beds. Tasty and varied breakfast menu. Overall a lovely place to stay. Thanks for having us, hope to see you again.

We were only able to stay one night, but it was great! Accommodation was spacious, bed very comfortable, food excellent, hospitality and local knowledge immensely helpful. If we visit Ayr again we know where we'll be staying!

Thanks for the review. Indeed it was "short and sweet", perhaps you will be able to stay longer some other time. I hope your conference was worth while and you managed to find a suitable parking spot!
