When we initially drove past a large sign which said 'Ayrshire Brewing Company' we knew we were onto a winner. The Glen Park is attached to the Brewery and offers the local ale on tap and in bottles in the bar area. It is very dog friendly and my fiance and I sat with the company of the locals and...

We visited with our dog at lunchtime . The food was served hot and tasty . We had garlic creamy mushrooms to start they went down very well , then I had jacket potato with chilli and my husband had macaroni cheese with chips and peas , wish I had ordered that once it came . I enjoyed my jacket...

Good menu, and the attached brewery provides a good range of refreshments. There is a Real Ale (and cider) festival scheduled for early September, and a list of guest beers is displayed in the bar. Well worth a visit, and promises to be busy during the air show.

Old-fashioned pub, very welcoming. We ate in the bar as the restaurant was empty, and it was warm and comfortable. The special the evening we visited (Sunday) was a roast beef dinner, which my wife had, declaring it very good: roast beef (well done, as she likes it, and clearly cooked in a covered roaster), accompanied by roast potatoes, new...

Our search for a great place to drink on holiday ended when we found the Glenpark Hotel. Having called into three other real ale pubs in Ayr which were disappointing to say the least, one of which contained an English hating Scot who made his feelings clear, it was a relief to find this bar. A Mancunian in a previous...

I pop into the family-run Glen Park Hotel in Miller Road, Ayr on a weekly basis and find it to have a welcoming, relaxed and cosy atmosphere. Real ales and malts abound and the barman/barista is the best in town. Events such as the brewery's Real Ale Festival in September, regular quiz nights and acoustic singalongs provide a genuine, friendly...

I nipped in to this wee hotel for a coffee while waiting on a business colleague. Un-aware that the kitchen was closed, the young lady offered to make me a quick toasted sandwich. I have to say it was great. A very generous side salad with coleslaw (and a portion of chips which proved to be way too much) For...

Visited this bar/hotel/restaurant recently and left feeling disappointed as it could be so good. I cannot comment on the food as I have not eaten here but I saw couple of plates brought out and they looked delicious with no complaints from diners. The bar serves its own selection of real ales and has a good selection of other beers...

Mainly visited here to sample the on-site brewed ale (Ayr brewing company) but had some light lunch also. Staff very polite and helpful and nothing too much bother. Decor is dated but comfortable enough. Bar lunch menu limited but what was on it was plentiful and tasty (although one bake potato was cold in the middle). Ale was superb if...
