We stayed for one night in room 312 and we had a great view of the river and waterfall from our room. The room was clean and comfortable and yes the whole hotel could do with some TLC but bear in mind the age of the building. The staff were brilliant and friendly and I would recommend the Watermill for...

Very helpful and happy staff. Room had all the necessary toiletries, coffee and tea. Breakfast was good with a large selection. Parking was adjacent and free. Rail station a 5 minute walkaway, journey time to Glasgow Central 8 minutes. Hotel centrally located for Paisley. Hotel does require a lick of paint though.

After reading the reviews on here, I didn't know what to expect. However the room was lovely, crisp white linen on the bed and a fabulous view of the waterfall. Shower room was modern and bright, it did take a while for hot water to get through so just be patient. The place was spotlessly clean. Staff were polite and...

After reading the awful reviews i was a little nervous as our stay got nearer, but the location in Paisley town centre was great. We found the hotel clean and comfortable although the heating seemed to be turned up fully. Admittedly we didn't attempt to adjust it. It was nice to come in from the cold autumn weather to a...

Dated and tired rooms. Damp patches and mould around the room. Avoid the poor and disorganised £9 breakfast - get something in town. Get the rooms at the back. At least there's a nice waterfall and ducks to look at.

Bus load of us arrived Wednesday lunchtime fairly speedy check in greeted by a very sour baked manageress who never smiled the whole stay we were there few people hadn't stayed there in over thirty years and commented that it hadn't changed in that time paintwork and bedroom furniture told that story very delapidated corridors not very clean reason y...

After seeing the reviews of The Watermill on here today, I felt compelled to jump to its defence!! I stayed there 3 days ago for one night - and had a wonderful stay. It's located right off the motorway, which is great, and yes, the building interior is a little tired, but it's immaculately clean!!! (Which is more than can...

The delapidated signage ATERMILL OTEL on the gable end, just about summed up this friendly but rather tired looking hotel. We were greeted by a lovely lady, Karen on check in and on the face of it our room looked cosy and adequate with a nice river view. However, the decor was, in places, rather dated and worn. indeed in...

My name is the Watermill Hotel and I am tired. Melancholy even. My decor is dated and worn, my fixtures are falling out. The floor of my ensuites are a weathered looking linoleum that you'd normally find in a sad boarding school for unloved children. I have cheap wooden doors but painted architraving. My walls are a different colours again....

We stayed here for a couple of nights as our friends had their wedding ceremony and reception at the hotel. Yes, it's a bit dated and the lift is the funniest/scariest one I've ever encountered, but 99% of the staff were great. The bar, waiting on and chambermaid staff were absolutely excellent and served us in a welcoming, friendly manner,...
