You can be sure of a warm welcome at this hotel. On both the occasions we have stayed there we have had a comfortable and well equipped bedroom and bathroom. The decor is interestingly old fashioned, & staff in the bar & hotel dining room are relaxed, friendly & efficient. The dinner menu is innovative, & the food beautifully cooked...

This is the first time we have stayed at the Moulin Hotel although we have previouly eaten there. It is a lovley old pub (built 1600's) with the hotel attached. The meals were very tasty and a good selection for breakfast. We have eaten there a few times now. The hotel is about 1 mile from Pitlochry which is a...

This is a large old fashioned hotel attached to a very old inn. The pub has a lovely bar, decent pub food and a good atmosphere. The hotel itself has old fashioned decor and is a bit of a time warp.. Our room - while in need of an update - was comfortable and spacious. Decent breakfasts and friendly staff....

I stayed, with three friends, for four nights in August 2013. The staff were friendly and helpful. Food was excellent as was the beer from their own brewery. I would certainly stay at this hotel again.

Gorgeous hotel and fantastic pub. Been twice now and it is still a favourite. The room was gorgeous. Only a short 1 mile walk to Pitlochry but the bar is so sweet you won't want to leave. Not sure why it has received poor reviews on here as the food is fresh and well presented.

Have had meals here on several occasions as a favourite stopping point returning from Inverness to Penicuik. It is a charming village inn with cask beer from its own brewery round the corner. Unlike some of the reviews, I've found the food very good and excellent value. Bar service is very efficient if lacking a little in graciousness. Certainly recommended.

Had dinner here despite the Hotel's mixed reviews. Food dull, and service rather grudging and lifeless. Chips look and taste reheated, baked potato is boiled, cotton wool bread, some dishes looked bought in. Overall food quality poor; not good value, but location is charming. OK provided your expectations are limited

I was one of a group of golfers staying here overnight. We required not too early a start in the morning (07.45am) to travel to Aviemore but were told that cooked breakfasts were only available from 08.15am onwards ......... very poor. Made do with an average continental that was left outside our rooms. Which brings me on to the rooms....

Arrival experience: We arrived with no reservations at midday. There was nobody working the front desk, but after ringing the bell, someone promptly greeted us. We are able to negotiate our room price since the hotel was not completely booked. Room (general): Large room (for Scotland) with TV and wall wardrobe to hang our clothes. We had a view of...

Drove over hour and a half to take my daughter for her birthday dinner. Inn was nice enough, staff friendly, and more than accommodating about our own Gluten Free cake for desert, however, the meals were not great. Had the trio of salmon, which had generous portions off but the salad wasn't much more than a couple of lettuce leafs,...
