The only negative about this restaurant is the fact that it is always busy but it is a victim of its own success. Always popular for meetings between friends, weddings, funeral parties and so on. Often car park is really busy and the restaurant can be hectic at times slowing the staff down. Food is excellent with a very nice...

Room(25) was well decorated and comfortable , couple of minor issues, waste bin in bathroom rusty and needs replaced, outer cable on corner light is peeling (looked like loose wires at first glance) Staff were friendly although we were directed right to the bottom of the corridor, only to walk the length of the first floor corridor to get to...

I find the festive season a time to be 'got through' with my dad, and for the past few years, after losing my mum, I look for a hotel that offers bonhomie, good food and ambience along with the usual Christmassy touches. This year, we opted for Gailes, and I'm so glad we did. I loved the subtle lighting in...

Currently having Christmas lunch with the family and what a disappointment. Service has been appalling. Not blaming the staff they're doing their best but the owners of this, the Simpsons, should be ashamed at the costs charged upfront and not following through on minimum expectations. If a place decides to at this time of year it should a proper service...

I stopped over for one night while I was working in the area and what a surprise when for very reasonable money I found this little gem. The rooms were a good size, fresh and modern, the bed was a good size and very comfortable. For less than £80 you can't ask for more and I would happily stay here again.

Well what an unexpected upgrade. Had a rubbish night in a Glasgow hotel the night before and when i explained this to the lovely lady on check in she said you will have a better night tonight Mr T.. It would be unfair to call it a Room! As the double doors were opened for me in the private end...

Fab from start to finish and a great price. Staff welcoming, rooms spacious and comfortable, food fantastic. Rooms had the usual tea/coffee/water. I was really appreciative of the decent hairdryer and iron/ironing board. I had the chicken and haggis for dinner and would definitely recommend. For lunch the following day I had French Onion soup which was delicious followed by...

We spent two nights in the hotel and dined there on both evenings. The hotel is really comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is well located, particularly if you are a golfer. The spa is very well maintained and a useful addition, albeit that you have to walk a couple of hundred yards to the adjacent...

We stayed here overnight whilst visiting realatives in the area. First impressions were that this is a Premier Inn style of hotel with good quality standard design rooms. Ours had been recently refurbished and was fresh and clean. The only criticism is that there is no sofa to ralax on, instead two padded swivel chairs. Breakfast in the morning was...
