We came back for a weekend after discovering the Bandstand as a restaurant earlier in the year. It amazingly combines a great community venue, very comfortable hotel, fine dining restaurant, excellent bar meals, good music, and a great welcome to visitors. Coming at Hallowe'en we would have been welcome to join the lively party (great decorations, and the owner is a skilled drummer!!), but chose not to. The quality of music was excellent (calling it the Bandstand is very clever!), but we were given a peaceful room where we were not at all disturbed. It is tremendous to experience such high quality and accommodating service - and a genuine feeling of welcome - at such a difficult time for the hospitality business. The Bandstand's own beer (brewed by the Cromarty Brewery) is great too! As a hotel, bar and/or restaurant, we'll be back!…
A fine hotel to stay, very friendly, food excellent. The rooms are well decorated, good facilities, modern furniture and comfortable. Ideally situated to enjoy Nairn, the beach and riverside walk with wildlife. Recommended.
Went to this friendly establishment yesterday and i must say the food was good and the lad serving us was quick and friendly and looked after us brilliantly. However his manager as we were entering the lovely little place for the second time as we were to early for food, walked past the kind water and scuffed oh for f*'k sake. We were behind him and seen the whole thing. The waiter was stunned she could be so rude and unprofessional. My partner had a word with her and she blamed it on her staff. She did tell them not to take on any more seats as two big parties were coming in to dine however the party's were not that big and the place wasnt even full. Im sure the owners would like to here aboit that. The staff were doing there best and for them to be scuffed at like that if they did something wrong or not is abismal. No one should have to work in that environment. I feel sorry for the workers here because they were great and had to watch each others backs because of her terrible attitude. We were left to feel very unwelcome from the get go but the kind waiter set us at rest. We are newly married so for all she knew we could have bought 3 bottles of champagne. Our money is as good as any party's. This is no reflection on the lovely pub or there workers but i feel the place would get on alot better without her. I honestly dont think id go back if shes still working as manager. The atmosphere wasnt the same after that.…
Had dinner in the bandstand and the staff were exceptional, very friendly and knowledgeable! The food arrived piping hot, was delicious and the cheesecake was out of this world We Will be visiting again
Lovely hotel great food staff are friendly and helpful and 150 malt whiskies to choose from the room was comfy excellent view of the beach the breakfast room nicely decorated the evening meal and choices of menu was excellent
We had a two night stay in September and were so disappointed with room 7. Apart from the fantastic view the room definitely needed a an upgrade. One of the bedside lampshades was beyond repair and the other not far behind. Curtains had tiny holes in them only visible when the curtains were closed. The toilet seat was chipped and worn. Bedding, although perfectly clean, had definitely seen better days . Fire and safety notices in room out of date as they still showed previous name of hotel.
Had dinner here 3rd Oct with Husband and our dog . Staff were very pleasant and welcoming. Didn't catch the guys name with the glasses) But he has excellent customer service skills. Another female staff member brought dog treats immediately for Frank. (DOG). DRINKS were enjoyable. Food was delicious and plentiful. We'll presented and piping hot. Will return on our next visit to Nairn. Hope its not too long! Thankyou!
On arriving in Nairn on 29/7/21 To be greeted for very wet weather. This was around 11am We saw The Bandstand Hotel so went to see if we could get a hot drink and attempt to dry out. The manager explained he was unable to serve alcohol until 12pm. Last thing on our mind but he allowed 10 very wet humans into his establishment. We can't thank the manager enough for his hospitality. After 12pm we did have a few wee one's to warm our inner soul. Thank you from the 10 drowned rats.
Just spend a few days in Nairn at the Bandstand pub/hotel. From start to finish we were treated by a friendly staff who were attentive and helpful in every way. Room 9 on the top floor but not a hard climb!! A huge room and massive soft bed. Great sleep. Breakfast excellent, attended to by Linda, lovely person, nothing a problem, speedy service, hot milk for your cereal, hot toast, and a bfast to die for. Unfortunately never got chance to have dinner as out all day and forgot to book table for night time, fully booked, says it all. Would we go back, most definitely, Paul the owner is always on hand, will even move his big 4x4 to give you parking space and bring your luggage in. Overall a most enjoyable experience, thanks to everyone, bar staff are lovely chatty people as well.…
Had an overnight stay last week, for a hotel thats been closed since December they could have spent time cleaning it in preparation for reopening. Room rather small, dated and very dusty, shower curtain had a sour smell and mould on it, the shower tray was also mouldy and grubby. I was the only person in the restaurant and the waitress came with my starter and main at the same time then asked is that ok, well not really as my main was getting cold as I ate my soup..Not a hotel I would have chosen had I been paying. The hotel also advertised free parking, well there's no parking i had to park on the street.
