The place is imposing and a hard working hotel which tells in the fabric of the place but is not obvious. That said, I had five shortcomings in my single room which, once reported, were put right in a very timely manner. In fact, my reporting of them was well received so, whilst they shouldn't have been 'wrong', the way...

An overnight stay before departing Inverness Airport in the early hours. I made the booking on the day of my arrival. The receptionist was extremely helpful and efficient on the phone. She upgraded my room to a spacious double in the newer part of the hotel, without me even asking. I checked in early evening and enjoyed a meal in...

Really enjoyed our stay here. Breakfast average (cold toast as delivered immediately and then eggs later) although plentiful and had everything you need. No speciality coffees which in this price range one would expect. Rooms huge and bathrooms excellent. staff very accommodating. Gorgeous Highland bulls grazing in the field out front, access to road to explore easy but place peaceful....

My wife and I are just back from a four night Hogmanay package at the Newton Hotel, Nairn. We had a fantastic time from start to finish. Guests came from far and near; from Jersey in the south to Orkney in the north, Bedfordshire and Yorkshire to name but a few. Our Room 216 was brilliant, not too big, just...

Just back from a three night Hogmanay package with family and friends. Just like to say we had a fantastic time from start to finish. Room was clean and tidy and even cleaner was working on New Year's Day. Bonus was that the hotel takes dogs in some rooms. The food especially on New Year's Eve was fantastic as was...

A very good experience overall. Food very good as was the service, the staff were very attentive. The New Years Eve function itself was probably as good as anywhere with a lovely meal well served and hot! The entertainment, band, was very good, the disco less so. The average age of the guests I would extimate late 60's, earlg 70's,...

Our second stay in this immaculate and splendid hotel, this time for four days over Christmas. Our south facing room overlooking the gardens and woodlands had two comfortable arm chairs (one a bit tired and worn) and a bed large enough for three! Adequate storage for a long stay. A large bathroom with underfloor heating, and both a bath and...
