Great value for money. Outstanding service from Zak who lent me his Fire stick to watch the tennis in my room.Excellent well stocked bar.The no frills Breakfast was satisfactory . The bed room was clean with slightly shabby decor but the bed was comfortable, with a good sized in room fridge and kettle . Spacious wet room. The hot water took ages to come through but was hot when it kicked in but drained slowly .No evening meal available.
Last minute decision not to camp after the weather showed just how miserably wet it could be. The room booked 20minutes before I arrived, check in was lovely and friendly and the lady kindly let me park my motorcycle out of sight which I was extremely grateful for. The room and ensuite were lovely, comfortable and clean. The only gripe would be the Nescafé sachets - they are vile! Nescafé should be ashamed of themselves... I couldn't find a fault otherwise. The price was very reasonable and it was a very short walk to the town centre for some food or the beach / harbour area which was stunning when I was there; the weather took a turn for the better. Nairn was a big surprise, a flying visit left me wanting to see more. I would definitely recommend this place for a travelling motorcyclist. Big thank you to the host!…
Two days at this hotel - the right choice! We stayed at the West End Hotel in Nairn "by chance", mainly because we couldn't make it any further that evening (it was rainy and we had come all the way from Skye) and they happened to have a vacant room - so we were very lucky! We had only planned to stay for one night and then move on, but since we liked our room and the hotel so much, we decided to stay another night (and used the chance to visit Cawdor Castle, see the dolphins at Rosemarkie and go to Culloden Battlefield and Bronze Age Clava Cairns). Our double room was huge, with a small entrance area where we could leave our shoes, and a big bathroom - but what we loved most was the interior and the furniture .... shaped like a room in a castle tower, it had beautiful curtains, a comfortable bed and a huge wooden desk. I felt like a princess in there ;) Oh, and there's even a Lady Macbeth Lounge for all guests to use - but unfortunately, we didn't have any time to sit and read or watch TV there. Breakfast is freshly cooked for guests according to their wishes - there are numerous hot food options (Scottish breakfast, porridge, egg roll etc.) as well as continental breakfast (4 different juices, different cereals, sweet buns, fruits, honey, jam). There's plenty of space in the charming breakfast or dining area but there's also outdoor seating. Service was great - the young man both doing our check-in during the night shift and also serving breakfast (sorry we cannot remember his name) was amazing - friendly, competent, efficient at any time of day! The price was very good, too. We would stay at West End Hotel again any time - definitely to be recommended!…
I really recommend this place to relax and find a peace. Rooms are very comfortable for adults and kids. Huge thank you words to hotel service (who is very kind and helpful). A big advantage is location near to the beach and the sea.
Visiting from the states with family, great location in a lovely little town near the sea, rooms very clean and comfortable, only bed and breakfast and a evening meal at the sister hotel the clubhouse which was excellent, all staff were very polite and helpful
Staying just one night but service was excellent, great hotel and staff has a nice little TV room to chill and a bar, evening meals served at the sister hotel the clubhouse which was excellent would definitely recommend
This was 1 restaurant we had never tried before and was not disappointed. The food was lovely and staff friendly and attentive just a pity there wasn't more people eating as I think it's a place that deserves more customers. I'm sure we'll be back.
We have just left this lovely hotel. There was a bit of a mix up with booking.com but Cassie was great and sorted everything out. Its was a great location, very quiet and close walking distance to the beach and town centre. The best part of our stay was the dinner!!!! Made fresh by the owner himself, it was absolutely delicious and has been the best meal of our holiday. Defo recommend the chicken stroganoff! 10/10. Also the breakfast was lovely too. Thank you
Going by the pictures of the rooms i must have been in a different hotel or certainly a room in need of a update. It was packed with old pine furniture which made moving around difficult. The bathroom was dark and the shower was a old very poor electric model. WiFi in the room was good and strong. Breakfast was ok, made to order and of good quality. Parking is very limited.
spent two nights in the James MacKenzie room. The whole place was immaculate. Their cleaners are great. Happy with location and hotel. Parking wasnt a problem either. Staff helpful whenever we approached them. didnt eat in resturant or go to the bar at all. weather was lovely in Nairn that weekend so we walked into town (about ten minutes). We felt that the price was a plus and would encourage us to return. Nairn a lovely town.
