This summer I brought a group of people to stay at this hotel. A dreadful mistake on my part. It's supposed to be a 3 star hotel, but surely, even a 3 star hotel can be clean and well maintained. This place is filthy in parts, and very dilapidated throughout. Sadly, the view does not compensate for how run down...

We had a couple of hours to kill on a wet Saturday between the train from Inverness and the bus to Armadale. Despite the kitchen being closed the barman got us what we wanted from the menu and it was great. The crac was good and it was really friendly and nice. Just in for a few hours out of...

Walked into this (Hotel) it certainly is`nt,politely greeted the receptionist/owner behind the counter and was immediately given a rude/sarcastic reply. Luckily for us and now i can say with great relief, the (Hotel) was fully booked.A couple of coaches were pulling up with OAP`s so i fully expect this is a half-way house to Gods waiting room.Fawlty Towers lives on in...

On our recent highlands by rail tour we popped in to the Lochalsh Hotel for a pot of tea for two. We were served by a lovely lady and the tea was excellent. Good value for money. If we had more time to spare would like to have tried the lunch menu which looked very good

You really can't beat the friendliness of the staff here or the fabulous view over the loch. Breakfast and evening dining were good too and reasonably priced. The bar is a simple affair but perfectly functional. This was clearly once rather grand, but now sadly has truly faded. Rooms are dated and the damp has set in. The corridor ceiling...

No hot water, terrible service, shabby rooms. Very hard to find someone at reception & when they did turn up they had no idea of procedures. The first room we were shown ahd not been cleaned or made up. It was expensive & not worth the money.

Stayed here one night on a trip round Scotland. The staff are friendly and accommodating, and the young barman very helpful. Plenty of parking, seats to look out over Skye, and the view from the 2nd Floor bedroom and bathroom were unsurpassed. The room was large, with wonderful views, but everything was a bit dated and a bit tired. We...

We organised a Scottish Tour for a large group of friends (20 cars and almost 40 people), staying here for one night. The location is supreme, by the water close to the Skye Bridge with wonderful views. Appears to be a 1920s/1930s design which is refreshing after so many Victorian Scottish Hotels. The initial impression was wonderful after a tiring...

Staff very welcoming and helpful. Our room had windows on 3 sides, 1 looked at the Co-Op: 1 looked at the Skye Bridge: the 3rd over the sea to Skye, guess which way we looked out ? Very good food and service for both dinner and breakfast. Lots of choice and the food very well prepared and served.
