We only stayed two nights, great location and nice views from the front. Very close to town centre. Rooms were very clean as were restaurant and bar areas. Great service from all the staff we encountered and breakfast was good too. Overall I thought great value for money.

Cheaper and better value than a Premier Inn. Great location, only about 150m from main thoroughfare, facing the loch and has private parking. (probably insufficient at peak times). It is a large house which has evolved into a substantial hotel so it has an awkward layout internally. The room was ideal and basic but the bathroom was modern and high...

Had dinner here on 2 occasions sumptuous surroundings looks as if the hotel has been recently renovated 1st night in the restaurant and the other occasion in the bar/lounge if management read this could I suggest that you don't have the same menus for both venues apart from that food was excellent with reasonable prices would definitely visit again if...

Booked this hotel as close to climbing Ben Nevis day after!!! Chose as the look of the hotel was lovely, and the view was delightful... But.....If you want a double bed, you don't get to see this amazing view as you are stuck in the back!! Only single or twin bed booking!!! All staff seemed friendly, but but not much...

Very expensive for what you get, a small room. The toilet could not swing a mouse never mind a cat. Shower excellent. If you get a room in back 3 floor annex, god help you. Ever step door and toilet flush can be heard every where. I think rooms 100-107 are at hotel front, these are the ones you want....

Room at top of hotel had very, very, steep narrow stairs - no use for older folk. One female foreign member (Pole or Russian) of the bar staff was very pushy and tried to force drinks I didn't want on me for my kids. Very close to being rude and very slow service. Was told to sit down when I...

This hotel had a lovely view, the car park was very big. The hotel staff were very helpful. The room was a good size with a comfy bed, big shower room and a good size tv. The only thing I would say is that there could of been thicker pillows or more pillows as they were thin. There was a...

We had a comfortable room with a beautifully refurbished bathroom on the third floor. There is a lift installed in the hotel now since the last time we stayed. Our room didn't have much of a view as it faced the embankment at the back of the hotel. However, our room was very reasonably priced and included breakfast which was...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Cruachan is designed with a traditional Scottish Highland façade and whilst the hotel has been, continues to be, sympathetically upgraded and modernised internally to provide all modern comforts, it has not lost its original character. The hotel has an enviable location overlooking Loch Linnhe and beyond the loch to the Morvern Hills. Guests can sit on the terrace outside the hotel in the summer, watching the boats on the loch and enjoying a quiet drink. ... more   less
