You can walk to the visitor centre to start the walk up Ben Nevis but it's quite a distance so you might want to get a taxi. It's about a 10min walk into town from our house but it's a steep walk back up so a taxi would cost approx £5 per trip. There are buses and trains to get to other areas further afield but you will need to collect timetables for the planned times.
