Stay at The Willows in July. It's a decent place to stay, nothing about this place is great, but nothing about this place is bad. The owner was very friendly and helpful. Our room was nice, but very simple. The morning breakfast was decent, nothing special. The location is

Now that hurts, we don't know from your TA profile who you are, so don't know which room you stayed in, but that's by the by, we think maybe you are you forgetting we are a 3 star graded B&B, which means a certain level of criteria is required. We actually go over this level in regards to facilities in the rooms because we want to provide our guests with more than what they would expect from a 3 star standard, king and super king size beds in the rooms, comfy and good quality with fancy chenille bases, in fact we haven't even had the time to update the pictures on our website yet with these beds in them, quality satin stripe bedding with cushions and bed runners, black out curtains, or blinds depending which room, large TV's, two of which are smart TV's, mini fridges in the rooms, and if you were in room 6 a microwave as well along with cutlery and crockery, free super-fast wi-fi, DVD players, hard wired USB ports, large bath towels/sheets, luxury soaps, and lots of other little extras too, and i'm sure you made full use of the water cooler which is in our hallway and is always welcomed by guests for a cold drink, especially in the hot summer months like July when you said you stayed with us, so far from 'very simple' as you put it, so not quite sure what else you were expecting in the room for a 3 star graded B&B, a chandelier or two maybe... Regarding breakfast, we have been awarded the 'Taste Our Best' Visit Scotland award, this is normally what 4 star places or above strive to achieve, it takes more effort, time and it also costs a lot more to source quality local produce which is a requirement for the award. We were under no obligation to do this as we are 3 star but we chose to go the extra mile, again for our guests enjoyment. We offer many varied cooked dishes on our menu from the usual Scottish cooked breakfast to other favourites such as smoked salmon, black pudding and even haggis etc, along with plenty of choice on the buffet table which you can help yourselves to, including fresh filter coffee and a variety of teas and all dishes are freshly cooked once you are seated at your table, plus we always try to be as accommodating as possible with special dietary needs and every day we have guests that thank us for their lovely breakfast. Like many other places we work tirelessly and take pride in our business. Our home has been a working progress since we bought it 18 years ago when we were only in our mid 20's, we didn't have a pot full of money so have spent years making improvements whenever we can afford to and we are still always upgrading when we can afford to do so, in fact we are currently having a new extension built at the side of the house so the outlook and access for guests staying in room 6, the private annex, is much better, and if there is money left in the pot we hope to renovate our upstairs loch view family room this winter along with the stair carpet. Comments like yours are very hurtful and not constructive, especially when we have done nothing wrong. So I say to you, if you have nothing bad to say or nothing great to say, as you wrote, then why bother saying anything at all !! A comment and low score like this could be damaging to our business, drop us in the TA rankings and it could potentially put someone off booking with us, but it's not just that, it's also very hurtful and upsetting. It sounds to us that you prefer the more deluxe type of accommodation, maybe that's what you should booked, but then again it would have cost you twice as much!

We stayed one night in the “private annex”. It is a large well appointed space with a very comfortable king sized bed. The room has a microwave and small fridge if you were staying longer. The ensuite is large, shower pressure is great and water instantly hot. The provision
