If you're coming to Fort William, I'd say your going for the Ben Nevis or at least to enjoy long hikes. And after such an effort there is no doubt that you'll be looking for a well deserved rest. If so, the Fort William's Backpackers is the place you're looking for, as the rooms are nice, the staff's friendly and...

This hostel is ideal if you are hiking Nevis like we were. Staff were incredible. I messed up our booking by only booking 4 beds instead of 5 and even though the place seemed fully booked the guy managed to switch some things around and got all of my party into the same dorm room in the end. Has free...

Decent place to stay if you are staying for just a night or 2, the beds were comfy and the lounge area was nice to talk to other guests, I think it is a bit small and kitchen is far too small and needs to be extended. The french guy in charge was friendly and helpful, when we were at...

We spent there two nights and we really enjoyed it. Nice lounge with comfy couches, pillows and board games, guitar and books. Love the athmosphere and decoration. Kitchen is clean, small, but was big enough since the hostel was not full when we were there. Complimentary coffee/tea/hot chocholate. Dining area is big enough, with amazing view on mountains and garden....

There were too many people staying in the hostel for the facilities provided. Not enough toilets or showers - be prepared to queue. Not enough seats in the lounge - several people had to sit on the stairs. One of the two cookers was non operational. Tiny drying room. Terrible WIFI. The only redeeming feature of this hostel was the...

This place is too small for the number of guests it can hold, there are definitely not enough bathrooms, and the room was a bit cramped. There were also not enough wall sockets, just a sketchy overloaded extension cable underneath one person's bed! Tiny wee kitchen but a lovely big lounge with plenty of seats. This is a beautiful old...

We stayed here for a night after we finished walking the West Highland Way. This is a true hostel experience the way it should be, with accommodations in what was at one point a large house that has been turned into a comfortable, quirky, friendly place to stay. The staff were super friendly and helpful, and the hostel is clearly...

In August I stayed at Fort William Backpackers with a friend for a night before hiking the Great Glen way. The hostel is very cosy and the staff was as friendly as one can be! They offered a laundry service and promised us to have our clothes dry by the morning because we wanted to start our hike the next...

Friendly and relaxed atmosphere are making up for the small inconveniences. The place seems a bit too small for the number of guests it accomodates, but young people and backpackers will enjoy its colourfulness and openess. Good localization is also a plus.

I stayed here with my teenage brother for two nights in the 8 bed mixed dorm. We had a great time, everyone was really friendly and the views were great (even though it rained non stop). The beds are really comfy and there is a nice lounge area with a small 'library'. There are three showers (we never had a...
