We stayed at Bught caravan park in September ‘22 for 2 nights, although we had booked for 3. The site itself was good, clean and tidy. However…. Don’t get me started on the shower blocks!! They were disgusting, I don’t think they were cleaned the whole time we were there and the shower cubicle….. well, let’s just say I must’ve smelt by the time we left… I used baby wipes as the showers were so cold and dirty and outdated I couldn’t use them. If the shower blocks were updated I would definitely stay again but in its current state…. Not a chance😬
Stayed at Bute caravan site during our return journey of NC500. I have never stayed in such a run down, grotty site ever. I honestly don't mind daddy long legs spiders but to shower with 8 of them wasn't enjoyable. Hot water in shower but no heating, so rundown for such an expensive site. Close to Inverness but honestly I would have preferred to wildcamp. Wanted a bit of luxury but left wanting. I would not recommend for families but if you want to be close to city centre and don't mind roughing it, this is the site for you. If the owners had money to invest this could be a cracking site as location is amazing.
Stayed at Bught park Inverness for a couple of nights, thank God we had a toilet and shower in our motorhome the toilets and showers are disgusting they are supposed to be cleaned regularly, when I popped in there was faeces up the wall. The shower nearest the reception block is, can I say cleanest I pity any camper who has to use them. The only plus is it's handy for city centre.
Didn't stay here. Phoned to check on availability and spoke to a man (Brian) who was less than effusive in his welcome! Surly and very unhelpful. Obviously not interested in my custom. Having since read some of the reviews, it seems like I had a lucky escape. By his accent, I would say he was not originally local to the area! A shame that visitors to Inverness will come away with a bad impression! A lucky escape indeed!!
I stayed here in August for a few nights, easy check in with Brian. The place is well maintained in the main grassed area. Yes the toilets and shower block are run down and old, to me you can get a warm shower, toilet facilities and brush your teeth. The reviews some people have put on here are pathetic, it’s just a camp site, No Noise from the travelling families at all and, no hassle. The place is a wee gem. It’s a no brainier for me, great access to the town, nice people around you, near the river and Ness island, electric hook ups and cheap to me. Ignore the negativity, it’s worth it for a good few nights. I cannot put this place down like people have, it really is a great place, as stated shower blocks run down but still very serviceable for people staying here.
Lovely little campsite clean, tidy, hot water all day and it has your basic needs. Yes a little old but a sink is a sink. For families there’s a full size swimming pool with chutes 30 seconds away, and a very large playing field, staff are helpful and polite ideal little stop over or start point.
We are genuinely an easy to please family,so trust me when I say avoid this site like the plague!!!! Brian is the rudest, strangest+most abnoxious man I have ever met!!! Wish I had more letters to explain!!!!!!!
In a great location to city centre, that is the only plus I can honestly give, toilets are badly in need of modernisation, I cannot believe in 2021 there are campsite toilets in this condition, grass etc is well maintained but too many permanent residents (work vans) noisy after 11pm , so we cut our visit short which we have never done before, we have used this site to compete in the Etape, I don't recall it being this bad, sorry never again for us, which is a shame.
We booked in with our Motorhome for 3 nights. Did not realise it was a traveller site with a few extra Motorhome spots. Did wonder how we got booked in at short notice? Noise levels from the kids after 11pm ridiculous, very intimidating. Decided to leave a day early, told pauline(owner), who basically told me to Get lost and that we weren’t getting a refund even though their rules state no noise after 10pm. Other people were leaving too as they told us they didn’t feel safe. We would never dream of moaning about a site as things do happen and are outwith peoples control but this was ridiculous. Dogs tied up outside kennels, work vans everywhere and not so nice facilities. Such a shame as it’s a perfect location. Will never be back
Grass pitch campsite and campervan/caravan site. Stayed for the night in our Van, nice quiet campsite. Good facilities, water nice and hot, great location with a lovely 20-30 min walk across the Ness islands into Inverness centre.
