Wonderful hotel, location, and staff. We will be back. They were extremely accommodating. We had a lovely evening meal in the hotel on our first night and the breakfast staff were amazing - very friendly. Although we didn’t get river ness views it’s easy to see why people would want to pay extra - the views were stunning. 🤩❤️🤩 I enjoyed use of the pool and the spa facilities inside the hotel.

Hotel's Favourite
Excellent location on the river Ness, so easy to walk in to town. We had a lovely family room in the back of the hotel - beautiful decor and very clean. It was a bit hot, but a fan was provided. Beds were comfy and we had no problems with noise until about 7am when the bins got emptied! WiFi good. Communal areas were also lovely, with comfy sofas in reception. The pool/spa area was really nice and modern, also clean and well maintained. Breakfast was good, although I am not a fan of the little plastic pots of fruit as I think it tastes a bit funny (I am aware that’s the times we’re living in though). We avoided the restaurant for dinner due to previous reviews and the proximity to other restaurant offerings. The staff were really lovely and very helpful - the recommendation for the nearest park was much appreciated! Would stay here again and would recommend. Thanks!

I thought this hotel was way too expensive for what it was. The hotel is spread out over three buildings which is not made clear when booking. The breakfast was terrible. Cheap, mass produced food. Staff was diligent and kind. The brasserie food was just OK and the restaurant seem to be run more for the people that work in it rather than guest experience. Really bad Internet. Spa and pool were nice and well-kept. Seriously over priced

The rooms are very small. There is limited storage. The bathroom has very limited storage. It is a small double bed. The noise from the next room travels, I can hear every word my neighbor says. There is no phone in the room. If you need something you have to go downstairs to the front desk. The wi-fi is weak. The dinner we had was tasteless and not cooked well. The hotel is clean and convenient. Staff is knowledgeable, helpful and efficient. For the price, you can do better.

Food was dreadful. 6 of us ate there and none of us cleared our plates. Dry chicken curry and fish that was so overcooked and chewy, I couldn't finish it. The black mush that was among the salad leaves - unforgivable. It's beyond comprehension that a chef would plate this and happily send it out as a product of their work! Probably one of the worst meals I have had out. Did I complain? Yes. Was anything done about it? Of course not. Did my concerns even reach the kitchen - I doubt it!

There were so many things wrong with this hotel I don't know where to start. We paid £380 GPB (~$450) per night for 2 nights for an executive river-view room, and for that money we had to walk up 4 flights of rickety stairs and sagging hallways (we were in the second building next door to the main hotel), to a relatively basic room that had no drawers, no robes, no wash clothes, and crappy internet (not just poor signal strength or speed, but at times, no signal at all). Most of the staff (outside of front desk) was completely uninterested and unenthusiastic, as if they were there just for a seasonal job, and couldn't wait for the season to end. We thought we'd enjoy starting our stay with their afternoon tea - which was an assortment of unappetizing sandwiches and stale pastries; not anything like the high teas we've experienced in true 4-star places. As for breakfast, it was a picked-over buffet, and had the most dreadful coffee I can recall in recent memory - as if they had run water through the grounds a second time. It was so bad, we ate elsewhere the second morning, even though the breakfast had been included in our stay.

Dear Fearless797158, I am very sorry indeed that you came accross so many service issues during your stay. I am sorry to hear that you were left unimpressed with your room. We do always try our best to find our guests another room if they are unhappy. Sometimes this is not possible due to the number of people staying at this specific time. I can only apologise that this was not possible at your time of stay. What is more, I am very upset to hear about your experience in the restaurant during breakfast, this is disappointing to hear as we always take pride in our service and quality. I have shared your comments with our food and beverage manager to look into and provide further training. Once again please accept my apologies for not meeting your expectations. We are sorry for all the inconveniences you have had experienced during your stay. Hopefully the next time you visit Inverness, you'll give us an opportunity to show that we can look after you a lot better. Kindest regards, Angelika Malinowska-Dolgowska

Upon arrival, Ewan was lovely and helped us with our luggage. Patrick got us the rooms we wanted and Mya was lovely in the Braserrie downstairs. The head Chef Sam was amazing and went above and beyond for my mum and I when we were a bit under the weather. He sent us up a nice pot of tea and cakes since we had to cancel our tea downstairs. Natalie at the spa was lovely and gave me a lovely facial. Wish they had more staff in the spa as I was lucky to get this appointment! She does an amazing massage. Lovely views of the River Ness and you're right in the middle of Inverness, castle Inverness being literally across the street and river! 14 miles from Culloden in one direction and the same in the other to Loch Ness, if your desire is to try to catch Nessie. The breakfast was good and the tea was fabulous. The bathtub in our suite could easily hold 2 people my size (5'11). The pool and hot tub were open from 7am-9pm. Would gladly stay here again. The lunch menu is served until 4pm. The brie and cranberry toasty that Chef Sam makes is ever so yummy and my mum loved the soups. They made pretty good cocktails It was lovely being able to have our bags brought to the room as the lift is a bit on the smaller side.

Stayed for 3 nights in the Palace, had a room with a river view. Nice room, beds comfortable but the heat in the room was stifling, had to have window open all night therefore very noisy as it was the weekend, certainly not worth the money we paid for it. Breakfast was very disorganised, a lot of young staff and not much training I think. Had some food in the bar area ordered a side dish of coleslaw ( bit surprised they did not have any ). Would not pay the money it cost to stay here again.

I had 3 rooms here. We were in the building next door (literally out the door and in through our own front door). Lovely young chaps carried our bags for us. My elderly father had an amazing room at the top looking over the river (515 i think). My sister had a double below - small but OK. I had a family room which I shared with my kids in the basement. Huge and comfy. In terms of decor it is what you expect from a chain hotel of this level. The bar was nice although wine list was limited and not great. We ate here one evening by default as we could not get a table along the river. They were really friendly and the service was fast. Food was OK. Breakfast was good and the staff (Marlene) were so friendly and kind. Overall it was what I expected with the bonus of friendly and kind staff.

Thank you so much for taking the time to write your feedback, Curious74818. I understand completely how frustrated, disappointed and annoyed you must feel, especially since this was a special occasion. On behalf of our entire team, I would like to apologise for not exceeding your expectations and for not being able to give you a happy experience in the hotel. The last thing we want is for any guest to be unhappy. I will relay this to the Food Services Manager to review and revise staff training. Again we thank you for your feedback.
