I was traveling with my 2 children and a friend, we walked up the path to Atherstone and immediately felt like walking into a dream! The greeting we received was friendly and very welcome after long day of traveling. The room was quaint, comfortable, clean, and charming. We were treated with respect and kindness and felt like welcome visitors to...

We stayed two nights and were really pleased with our choice. Our room was comfortable and very clean. Ruth and Ally were excellent hosts and provided lots of ideas for our stay in Inverness. The breakfasts were a pleasant change from the usual heavy b&b stodge and we particularly liked Ruth's "breakfast parfait". The house is really conveniently situated, just...

Our family had the pleasure of staying overnight in Atherton Guest House a few weeks ago. All three of the rooms we had were lovely--very cozy, comfortable, and a perfect place to unwind from a busy day of touring Inverness. Our hosts, Ruth & Ally, were a true delight, and we enjoyed talking with them during breakfast (which was delicious...

We stayed here on the last day of hiking the Great Glen Way. Atherstone was near the city centre, but in a quiet street. The owners Ruth and Ally were welcoming and helpful, the room comfortable, warm, clean and well equipped. Free wifi and an excellent breakfast. Would definitely return.

Ruth and Ally were simply fantastic hosts: provided tips and tricks for getting around in the city, served a delicious breakfast while the rooms were clean and organized nicely. If you plan on visiting Inverness, I would definitely recommend to stay at Atherstone B&B.

My husband and I booked a tour with the Heart of Scotland (which was wonderful btw) and they booked our accommodation for us. We decided on a B&B as it was a step up from a hostel and less expensive than a hotel and we were so happy with their choice. We arrived at the B&B at around 6pm after...

The location is great, just walking distance from city centre. The rooms are well appointed and the hosts are warms, esp their 3 year old son is a bundle of joy. They can possibly add a couple more option in the breakfast, esp for veggies and for people staying many days so that there is variety.

Ally and Ruth made us feel welcome as soon as we got in (we were taking part in a Highland tour and lucked out by staying at the Atherstone). The room was well furnished and very comfortable, the breakfast was fantastic, and it was well situated for walking around Inverness and having a good explore. Would definitely stay here again...

Well located with off-street parking and within moderate walking distance of downtown and eating/drinking/shopping/touring. Good recommendations on where to eat and drink. Room had all the facilities and was spacious and quiet. Although no cooked breakfast, there was a wide range of good choices to make a substantial breakfast.
