We spent 3 days at the Kingsmill and thoroughly enjoyed it. Our room was a retreat room in the club building of the hotel. Checkin was great and the staff was very friendly. Our room was very nice although it was next to the road so it was noisy but this was generally during the peak hour rushes. If the...

This is a very attractive hotel in lovely grounds but in my opinion it needs to have some upgrading to retain its four stars. Bedrooms a bit tired, as was the shower room in our room. Food was very nice but nothing outstanding

We stayed in the Kingsclub for a weekend break for a 40th birthday treat. Although we have stayed here before it was 19 years ago. The hotel hasn't changed. it still has the same décor and grandeur it had then. The room in the kingsclub was large and very private, although a little bit close to the road, but the...

Great facilities, great people, spacious rooms, GREAT shower and REAL towels (particularly by European standards), very good breakfast included. The staff went above and beyond when, after checking out and driving all day to Oban, we discovered we'd left our passports and cash in various currencies in the locked room safe. We called upon checking in at our new hotel...

My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights whilst on a golf trip. Room was reasonably spacious, good bathroom and nice bed. Food was just about average. We only ate there one night we went out the rest. Buffet style breakfast was also ok. There are lots of tour groups so if you hit the restaurant at the wrong...

Enjoyed a very pleasant two night stay in the 'club' section of Kingsmills Hotel earlier this month. Large, nicely appointed room with balcony overlooking golf course. A bit chilly for the balcony, but certainly a nice touch. Staff all very efficient and polite. Ate dinner both nights in the pub section of restaurant where food and service was excellent. Other...

I stayed at the hotel for three nights as part of a group tour. The location is within 15 minutes' walk of the city center, and adjacent to a golf course. A nice pub is nearby. The room was spacious and probably the prettiest room I stayed in during this recent 35-night trip to Europe. It featured two comfy plaid...

I stay at the Kingsmills probably 6-7 times a year and generally really enjoy my stay however not so much on my last trip last week. I'd booked into a family room which I've stayed in before however didn't realise that I wasn't going to be in one of the refurbished rooms. Given the price I paid (175) I'd expected...
