Stayed here for two nights whilst on business at Inverness airport. The hotel is just a 10 minute taxi ride away from the airport. Easy.

Room was basic but very clean with a TV and ironing facilities. Bathroom perfectly adequate.

The bar area was quiet and relaxed. A free breakfast buffet is offered to all guests. Evening dining is limited but the hotel is just a few minutes walk from a retail park which houses all the usual dining and entertainment venues.

Totally opposite is s country pub also.

I would very much recommend staying here at a budget price compared to staying directly at the airport.

Staff are incredibly friendly and polite.

Well done to all!!

Stayed for 3 nights for my birthday, hotel centrally located to Inverness city centre. Brilliant shopping area 5 minute walk away, lots of takeaway food options especially with COVID you can take back to room or sit in lobby area. Rooms are your standard 3* hotel room, our room didn’t look like it had been dusted in a while and also had booked for 2 adults and 1 child yet they said they only knew about 2 adults. Confirmation clearly said 2 adults and a child. Had to go out room to let them make up sofa bed. Breakfast was okay...two out of three nights the seating area was closed. It really didn’t suit us with a fussy toddler, not even an option to have a slice of toast which was disappointing. The same every morning cereal, crossaints, Luke warm rolls for takeout and coffee machine out of use for two out of three days. Would stay again because of location but needs improvement.

Hi emsw90, Thank you for choosing to stay with us and for posting a candid review. I was very concerned to read your comments regarding the room cleanliness, housekeeping service, and breakfast experience. I understand your dismay and I am sorry. This is not the frictionless experience that we wanted for all our guests. I will make sure to share your comments with our team for the necessary improvements needed on our end. I appreciate you as our guest and I still hope you would give us another chance in the future. Orlando A. Case Manager IHGService

Check-in was perfunctory and our room was traditional HI. Whilst the hotel had all the right Covid signage and sanitisers, lots of guests chose not to observe these basic hygiene measures, particularly wearing masks and the hotel team did not enforce the rules once while I was there. Unsettling.

The buffet breakfast was well executed, with guests told to pick up a bag and fill it with their breakfast items, which were individually wrapped, to eat in their room. Both hot and cold chow was available.

Every team member we spoke to was friendly and helpful. The price we paid was very reasonable. A good value stay.

Dear Machinmad, I appreciate you for sharing your review about your recent stay. I am very sorry that our hotel did not seem to enforce guests to social distance and wearing masks while in the hotel. Please be assured that I have noted and forwarded your comments for the management to improve. In the midst of the inconvenience, I am glad to know that our breakfast was still appreciated. I very much hope that you will grant us the opportunity to prove ourselves again. Best Regards, Ben W. Case Manager IHGService

We were welcomed warmly and standards were high for our stay. Housekeeping was extremely efficient the room was serviced to a very high standard each day. The reception area and breakfast grab and go were well managed and although a continental option, we were very satisfied with the choice and safety standards of taking it back to our rooms.
A few points for improvement that let it down was the rubbish bins outside were sometimes full and overflowing. The smokers congregating at the entrance was also off putting especially when the hotel had set such high standards inside. The cigarette ends were constantly all over the front entrance which really spoiled the entrance. This was daily and not a one off so I think it could be something to be aware of and perhaps look at maintaining the outside as much as the interior. The beds were not the best and could do with an upgrade but again this is only constructive feedback. We still had a lovely stay regardless and look forward to coming back the next time we are in the North. Many Thank :)

This hotel is in a really good location for those travelling the A9 to the highlands. We stopped for one night and the service we recieved was amazing. Myself, my husband and 9 month old baby stayed. Unfortunately my baby was unsettled in the night but the staff were so reassuring to two very frantic parents worried about the noise the baby was creating. They helped to put us at ease and focus solely on our baby

The rooms were spacious. The sofa surprisingly comfy and very clean
The hotel is walking distance to a shopping outlet with numerous food outlets for tea

It is also dog friendly we took our dog and he was really welcomed and there is some space outside for the dogs to be exercised on
In regards to covid the hotel chain has clear guidance of cleanliness which are issued to you and displayed. This hotel clearly follows these. They had placed all communal seating away to stop groups gathering and guests eating breakfast in their rooms something that another hotel of the same chain failed to do

I felt completely confident in the hotels cleanliness. I had several questions before hand which I emailed the hotel about and they came back to me quickly which reassured me about our visit

Reception:
The team at reception are very nice and welcoming.

Room / facilities:
Room number 240 is on the 2nd floor and is clean with a water view.

There are 2 single beds, there is a small clothes hanging area, little bathroom, chair and desk, with tea and coffee facilities.
The room has a window that opens about 5 cm.

There is no fridge in the room.

Parking:
The parking is complementary and plenty of spaces for all guests cars.

Wifi:
Complementary and good speed. No validation or password required.

Breakfast:
This was part of our room package.
The traditional English buffet breakfast is from 7.00am to 10.00am and consists of cereals, yogurt, breads (to toast) jams and spreads, fresh fruits, pastries, eggs, bacon, baked beans, sausages, juices, tea and coffee.

There is a self service snack area which can be paid for at reception.
This area had a guest microwave.

Conclusion:
Good location, nice staff, comfortable bed.

Letdowns:
No fridge in the room.

Location / Nearby:
Tesco supermarket and petrol, retail stores and restaurants a quick 5 min stroll.

Town is a walkable 25 minutes or bus from near the Tesco store.

The information is not related to the hotel:
No matter where you drive to, payment for parking is required. Most parking meters accept coin and card “tap” facilities. Generally after 6.00pm or 8.00pm parking is free, in designated locations.

The toilet seat was dirty in our room. This is of course not good at any time but during Covid-19, it is totally unacceptable. I cleaned it with some alcohol wipes which I carry with me due to Covid-19. Because of the dirty toilet seat, I then worried about whether the rest of the bathroom was cleaned properly and proceeded to wipe down the taps, basin, etc. We also found what looked like a piece of dog or cat food on the carpet in our bedroom which suggests that the room was not cleaned very thoroughly. I know this is not a 5 star hotel but hygiene should be one of those things which should be done well regardless. It was also quite a noisy hotel as I could hear doors slamming during the night and early morning despite wearing earplugs. The only positive were the staff which were very friendly.

Dear Anna, I was dismayed to read your review from your recent stay with us. Obviously, the standard of the room in terms of cleanliness was way below what we would deem acceptable and at this moment, I can only apologise to you for this. Our Housekeeping team are extremely hard working and conscientious and I know they are very disappointed to have let their usually very high standards slip on this occasion. We have looked at what went wrong that day and have put in place further measures to ensure our IHG clean promise is upheld for all our guests. If you find yourself in Inverness again requiring accommodation, please do not hesitate to contact me personally here at the hotel as I would very much like to rectify the negative impression you received and show you that we can do so much better. Rory Campbell, Team Leader.

Pre-paid for a wheel chair assessable room with double bed. This room was hot and stuffy, even with the window open and the provided fan on. The bed was very uncomfortable, quite bouncy with very little back support.
Had both Breakfast and Dinner on two occasions. Breakfast served buffet, the scrambled eggs well over cooked as were the sausages.
For dinner had a very well done beef burger and very well done chicken burger. The chicken was so over cooked coule barely cut with a knife. The chips served with dinner were also so over done they were like little pieces of wood.
On our last evening there we went to the Burger King which is 2 minutes away and was the best meal we had while staying at this establishment.

The staff was friendly and helpful, although when checking out I was presented with a bill which included the room charge which was pre-paid, a difference of over £200.

If we visit the area again I think we'll give this hotel a miss.

We had an issue with another hotel and needed somewhere to stay for 1 night as we were traveling closer to the airport during the beginnings of COVID-19. We went into lobby and saw the cleaning crew washing floors, wiping down all surfaces, etc.
We were just walk in reservations and were treated so well. Anything we asked for we received. People had smiles on their faces. Quite the difference from Travelodge Inverness!
The queen room was beautiful..complete with couch, table..very comfortable. The bathroom was big and really updated. We were so pleased!
The gentleman at the desk apologized that the restaurant wouldn't be open because of COVID-19 but they would have a small take away breakfast in the a.m. And they did!

So happy we stayed here.

This is the worst IHG property I have ever had the displeasure to stay in as a Diamond member
When we arrived the front desk staff were far from courteous and not very accommodating when asked for advice on places to eat
Our room was tiny with very few electrical outlets and as I use a CPAP machine this is extremely important to me. When I went to the desk I was offered an extension cord. ( Gee thanks pal)
I ended up sleeping on the pull out couch to get access to an outlet
The toilet did not flush properly
There was a white stain on the couch

I will never stay at this property again
Stay away and book somewhere that appreciates you and your business

They usually charge £10 per dog per stay. But our experience of H I has been that you WILL get a substandard room if you have a dog with you. Stained carpets and not cleaned properly. We won't use them again. After all we pay full rate for the room like all other guests.
