Very poor experience at the Corriegarth Hotel. The heating in the room was not working while it was in the minus temperatures outside, as a result of which I slept very poorly. I woke up the next morning with plans for the day ahead, which unfortunately I had to move around as a result of the chef not turning up for the breakfast service. I waited an hour and a half until 9.30am and still, there were no signs of breakfast, so I left to rearrange my plans. As a result of waiting, I missed my transport and had to spend another £40 on a private hire taxi to take me to Loch Ness. I had to email and call the hotel on 6 occasions in total to get a measly £10 refund. No offer to cover my additional costs, and one member of staff on the phone line was incredibly unprofessional - poor English skills and was heard talking out loud about me to her colleagues. Do not stay here, it's a lovely old coaching inn and the bar manager, I have to give it to him, was incredibly sympathetic to my experience in the morning. But it's just not worth it when you can get better customer service for your money elsewhere. Really ruined my holiday.…
We stayed for 2 nights with our dog, he was made to feel very welcome, we stayed in a deluxe room which was very clean but a little small. Food was good, but service was a bit slow at times. Bar atmosphere was so welcoming and friendly and prices were good :)
Stayed 2 nights in early September while cycling across Scotland. Loved the location, quiet neighborhood and a short walk from the heart of Inverness. Staff was very friendly and I was able to store my bicycle in an unused space on the ground floor. Rooms were clean and had plenty of room. Could hear a little noise from the outdoor terraces below with the windows open, but it was not bad at all. Food at the pub was excellent and pub staff was very welcoming. Overall I'd recommend if you want a smaller, neighborhood hotel that's convenient, but not in the downtown.
We stayed here with our wee dog in October Found the location good,in walking distance easily of the centre, good for parking, comfortable beds.. friendly staff. the breakfast was good.. The bar downstairs was reasonable prices.. Would recommend
We stayed one night at this hotel, the room was lovely, a nice little touch was the complimentary sherry, the bathroom was quite small, but perfectly adequate for a one night stay. We had a meal in the restaurant in the evening which was excellent with a good choice of wines. I will highly recommend this hotel.
My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights in May 2022, the bar and restaurant areas are fine, decent selection of real ales, very welcoming staff. The room was smaller than we would have liked, it was however clean and a light bulb problem in the ensuite was rectified immediately, the ensuite itself was a little small but again it was clean. We ate here twice in the evening and the food was a very good standard, served with a smile. Overall the biggest plus point that we found was the staff, all of whom were excellent. If we find ourselves back in the area we would stay here again.
Good outside seating but bar and food service not the best on a hot day. We had good pints and a couple of food items each, Cullen Skink and Prawns in oil for me. We did not return however, we were staying next door at the Heathmount Hotel.
Stayed for 2 nights but never had food due to staffing issues. Well stocked bar and nice open fire but it doesn’t provide enough heat. COVID protocols seem to be adhered to. Shower room very “compact” but price was good and the location is very good with an easy walk to town.
Stayed 1 night here and the check in and out was very easy. We stayed in room 2 which is at the front of the property. The room itself was a decent size however the on-suite was small and as my other half is over 6ft so it was problematic. The traffic noise was off putting as the property isn't double glassed but the bed was so comfy. Overall I would recommend this place as the staff were really friendly and helpful.
We stayed here for 3 nights and we were sorry to leave and move on. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. The bar area had a locals feel and we were made very welcome by all the staff and Locals alike. John and Amy had the time to talk with us and added to the feeling that we were one of the locals. The food was excellent. We had three really great breakfasts and would highly recommend the food in the restaurant, I believe the chef is called John too so thank you John. Parking was never a problem and we were only !0 minutes walk from the centre of town. We would recommend you stay here and when we go back to Inverness we will staying here. Thank you John, Amy and all your team .
