My wife & I used this site with our motorhome. What a little gem this site is! Easily found and easily accessed by motorhome. Really friendly owners/staff who were very helpful & informative. All the facilities were nice & clean - absolutely no negatives! The views were pretty good too. Sunsets were good too... You can even get breakfast rolls on site. I'd definitely recommend this site to anyone.

Really enjoyed our stay at this modern site. Warm and friendly welcome at check in and a lovely pitch with fantastic views. The bathrooms were so clean & modern and it was great to dry my hair with a proper hair dryer. The ice cream man came on to the site but unfortunately we couldn’t have an ice cream as we were cooking our BBQ at the time. We did have breakfast rolls from the site and these were delicious. The staff were so friendly and helpful when my husband had a query about the water connector and needed to purchase an adapter. Would definitely recommend and return again if in the area.

We had a very friendly and efficient welcome at this lovely, modern and spotless site. We loved that we could get very reasonably priced breakfast rolls on site. The shower block was really nice. The views from the upper pitches were beautiful. Only a couple of minor things that didn’t affect us but might affect others: The catch to open the door of the shower/toilet block is positioned at about 6 foot. I’m 5’2” and had to reach up above my head to open the door. People below a certain height would need a taller person to go to the toilets with them to open the door. Under 12s have to be accompanied by an adult to the toilet block which is fair enough but very short teens and adults could find this difficult. There are some fully serviced pitches with water points and I noticed that the taps for the water supplies were situated very low down on some of the pitches. They wouldn’t have been any use for us as we wouldn’t have been able to get our water container below the tap to fill it up. Other pitches are available with higher taps so worth requesting when booking if this could be a problem for you.

Excellent facility. We stayed here twice during our NC500 trip. Clean toilets. Friendly staff. Easy booking and easy parking. The campsite is also very well located. It’s not too far from city centre. We will for sure come back here if we are up this way again.

I say awesome for lots of reasons. This is a quality site which offers a wide range of services & the guy's running it, Elaine, Tosh, Kate & their team are outstanding people who go that bit extra. The facilities are quality & there is a real sense of attention to detail. The location is perfect for all adventures, Inverness, Fort George & Culloden Battlefield to mention a few. The site is situated with stunning views of the Moray Firth & hills beyond. I was made to feel safe & welcome. THANK YOU.

Wow, this has got to be the best camp site in Scotland. We arrived a little early but that was not a problem, was checked in and was given a choice of 3 pitches. We had also booked one of the private bathrooms. This was shear luxury, well fitted out and meant all toiletries/towels could be left in the bathroom. A Hairdryer was provided in the lobby area. The Pitch we chose was a good size and the view was spectacular. The Chinese takeaway, Magic Wok, delivers direct to the site, the meal was lovely, tasty and hot and very reasonably priced. The site is well located to visit Culloden, brilliant and also Loch Ness (didn't see Nessie!!!), Tarvie is a lovely place with a good village cafe. Would definitely stay at Ardtower again and will definitely recommend it.

Disappointed. Person on reception bit abrupt. Not welcoming. Paid in advance for a fully serviced pitch . Found our camper did not have 240 volt when hooked up. We looked at all the fuses . We have had larger motorhomes over the last year's but this was a smaller rental for touring the NC500. Called the hire company . Being helpful they got their technical department to call us back . He said the camper was definitely not getting any electric. Best to query with the site. We were spoken to by the same person very abruptly and quite rudely as it was our fault and they have this all the time with rentals. We tried the next hook up point and we had electric. The first pitch was faulty with no electricity. We were then told , that they would have to look to see if the second pitch had already been booked. They would try and help us out when we had already paid in advance for a pitch. Eventually we moved pitch . No apology or for troubling the rental company. The rental company were told it was the site. Showers nice but probably not enough for the size of the site. We used them in the evening and very early morning around 7 am and 7 pm. Did go there again about 9. 30 am and it was very busy. Only 3 showers in the gents. Wouldn't recommend or try to go in future.

Good points Very clean and tidy and shower block modern. Not too far to Inverness centre and taxis reasonably priced . Local Chinese takeaway was very good . Staff were friendly enough Downside Busy road nearby and aircraft noise early morning . Gravel drives are noisy with folk walking and driving past at all hours . 24hr access to the site made it one of the noisiest I’ve been on and for that reason we won’t return.

Stayed here with our dogs in the tent pitches mid-week on our recent trip around the highlands. This was the best site we stayed on! The facilities were great- very clean and felt really luxurious compared to some of the sites we stayed on. The views across Inverness were fantastic. Wi-Fi included on site which was decent strength. The only downside of the tent pitches are that the astroturf pitches were a bit tricky to get the pegs into- but we’re we’re warned of this when we checked in. Not far from Culloden which we visited and would recommend. Would stay here again if in the area.
