From the minute we arrived until we left, on our all too brief visit, we completely enjoyed our stay. We were given a very warm welcome from Elspeth, and immediately felt at home. We arrived on a very windy afternoon, and Elspeth told us that if we needed to go anywhere, she would drive us there. We took her up...

We were visiting Old Pulteney distillery and arrived here late the previous evening. We were given a very warm welcome and our room was beautiful with lovely wood and tastefully done tartan carpet. This place is very clean, well situated and the breakfast was excellent too. We would definitely stay here again.

Most welcoming and spotlessly clean. Lovely and warm on a very cold night. You must have the full breakfast, every part top quality and perfectly cooked. Owner was very helpful and interested in our reason for visiting which was family.

I stayed here one night and only wish it could have been at least a few more. Deserves all the praise it gets. Beautiful decor, spacious clean rooms, great hostess and delicious breakfast. I believe this establishment is up for sale. What an opportunity for someone to purchase who fancied a move north to carry on this fabulous business.

The owner is very friendly and knowledgeable, and the room was beautifully clean and nicely appointed. Despite being the only couple staying, there was a full and complete range of hot and cold food for breakfast , limitless coffee and it was fabulous ! Our random trip to Scotland ended up with us staying in this great B&B and being...

One night stay on our driving tour. Host was very welcoming. The room was very nice with all the facilities you would expect. It's not far into Wick to get something to eat, 10 min walk. Breakfast was excellent as well. Cannot fault anything. I understand that new owners are taking over in December, I hope they maintain the same...

My wife and I spent two nights at the Clachan and absolutely loved our stay! Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, the breakfast was amazing (I'd highly recommend the smoked fish poached in milk), and Elspeth is one of the friendliest, most helpful hostesses I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. She provided restaurant suggestions, helped us find some...

The logo says it all..... if there is a better quality B&B in Scotland then I haven't found it. Over many years, travelling across the length and breadth of the UK, this location has consistently been at the top of my UK league table. On the main thoroughfare with quality rooms, comfortable beds, superb breakfast and a charming owner... what...

We only had one night at the Clachan but it was superb. The room was furnished to a high standard with everything you need for your stay. Elspeth the owner was a gem. She told us a bit about the history of Wick & recommended places to eat which she marked on a map for us. My husband mentioned that...
