As the most expensive booking of our two week holiday travelling the NC 500 we were expecting a lot from the Melvich Hotel. It didn't disappoint from the views which were stunning! The room was spacious and clean and tastefully decorated. The shower was excellent and had plenty of hot water. The hotel could have benefited from clear signage on...

Modern decoration whilst still keeping the history. Loved looking through the visitors book dating from 1940's. Lovely helpful staff. Beautiful views, & peaceful location. Clean, modern, large comfortable room. A little bit if luxury at the very top of Scotland.

This hotel has undergone some upgrading of public areas since my last visit. (about a year ago) The lounge, restaurant, reception and corridors have all been artistically redesigned sympathetically, without spoiling the unique characteristics of this hotel. In particular I liked the huge map of the area painted as a mural along one wall of the restaurant. New ambient lighting...

The hotels are few and far between on the north coast of Scotland and you don't always have a wide choice. This looked fine on the website and the welcome was good and the room large and clean. The restaurant seemed ok to start with? But the menus was a little odd, focusing on pizza or steak or fish. There...

The hotel was very difficult to contact to make the booking in the first place as they do not man the reception or phone all day. Further, when we arrived to book in we had to go and look for someone to check us in. The room over looked the bay and was adequately furnished and comfortable. Dinner was good...

We chose this hotel as a stopover. It was very comfortable. The owner was charming and helpful. The restaurant was very good and we had a lovely evening meal there. The hotel has lovely views over the bay and the beautiful beach is not that far away from the hotel. Other than that its a fairly quiet place, or so...

The hotel is in Portskerra and very close to the bay. It is easy to find and has a restaurant and pub. The hotel is older but clean and neat. The couple that own it are younger and Rob has previously been in the US teaching snowboarding. We enjoyed our stay. The highlight was dinner. (Rob is the chef). The...

Stayed there last week with three of my friends as a overnight stop off as part of the NC500 MOTORCYCLE tour. Rooms are very nice. A good size modern and upto date and very clean. We ate in the restaurant and the food is superb. You will be surprised at the quality. Also the breakfast is to the same standard....

I stayed here for two nights last month. I was warmly welcomed by the proprietor and shown to my room, which was comfortably furnished. The food was very good and the staff friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a lovely setting on the north coast of Scotland., and I was fortunate to have good weather for my short stay....
