Hotel's Favourite
We stayed here during a short break to Glasgow. The hotel is about a 2 minute walk from George Square. Despite its central location, it was peaceful and we didn’t hear any street noise.
On arrival to our room, we found 2 cans of Irn Bru and 2 Tunnocks Tea Cakes which was a nice touch..
It was my partner’s birthday and she was given a voucher for a free drink at the bar and the staff had left a happy birthday message on the bathroom window.
Breakfast was good with a large selection of food.
We’d definitely stay here again if we were returning to Glasgow.

Myself and my partner stayed here for one overnight on Sat 4th of Jan 2020. We stayed in a double room on the 7th floor of the hotel. We arrived at around 5pm and check in was easy and quick. The only thing I would note is that breakfast was included however we were not provided with any information regarding this, times etc. and had to go back to ask. The location of the hotel is perfect for anyone wanting to stay right in the city centre, 5 min walk from Glasgow Queen Street Station and right on the door step of many shops and restaurants. The decor of the hotel is fab, really modern and fun!
Our room consisted of a double bed, en suite bathroom and small dressing table. The room decor was lovely, really bright and modern to match the decor of the rest of the hotel and was spotlessly clean. Our room had a large floor to ceiling window overlooking the city however there were thick blackout curtains which were great to block out the morning light. I had also advised the hotel that we were staying due to it being a birthday and they left us a lovely note with 2 teacakes (again in line with hotel decor), 2 small bottles of Irnbru and a token for 2 free drinks at the hotel bar which was a lovely touch and very much appreciated. My only complaint with regards to the room was that the bed was not very comfy, we only stayed for one night so this wasn't a major issues however the bed was quite hard and the pillows were not great quality.
We had a buffet breakfast in the morning which was included in the £74 price for the overnight stay. Mainly cold selection, plenty of cereals and pastries etc however there was square sausage and rolls which was a nice touch! Great 12pm check out to which was fast and easy!
I would definitely stay at this hotel again and would recommend for anyone visiting Glasgow and looking for a central location. Thanks for a great stay Ibis!

I went to Glasgow on this hot summer day in August 2020 for an overnighter and to meet my son the next day so we could travel home together. He had been with his dad’s family for the past three weeks.
I had booked the Ibis Styles hotel in Miller Street, close to George Square and all the shops along Argyle Street, Buchanan Street and at the St Enoch Centre a few days prior. I love the Ibis brand of hotels and had joined the ALL Accor Live Limitless loyalty scheme in the previous year.
After my long calm and quiet train journey from Wolverhampton with change at Preston, I arrived at Glasgow Central and made my way to Miller Street, an area I used to frequent regularly during my years living up north.
The hotel is in one of the old-style buildings with character and personality and reception was to be found on the first floor. Two lovely local lasses welcomed me with a smile and a chat to complete the check-in procedures. After that, I promised to return after dropping my bag to let them know about my choices for breakfast. In COVID times, there was a choice to pick up breakfast downstairs or to have it dropped off at the room.
When I entered my room, I found an even more personalised Glesga Welcome: an IrnBru can with a Tunnocks Tea Cake on top and a hand-written personal message with a fact about Victoria Park! This was so unbelievably nice!! And when I went back down to go through my breakfast choices with the ladies, I thanked them so much for the message, told them I used to live not too far from Victoria Park and appreciated the personal touch of the gesture.
My room was lovely, very practical and a bit quirky (you can see some bits on the second collage of photos I added). The side of the wardrobe reminded me of Charles Rennie MacIntosh art, the picture behind the bed was a bit of Glasgow art but the funniest bit I found was how the crane was painted on the wall seemingly holding the TV.
I had a very good sleep in the bed and enjoyed my breakfast I had dropped off at my room the next morning. I know that I will definitely use the Ibis Styles again next time I come back to Glasgow.
The Ibis Styles brand is in the middle between the more sophisticated Ibis and the more budget market Ibis Budget brands. All three Ibis brands fall more into the budget traveller category of hotels.

Stayed for 2 nights (1 night using an itison voucher) - check in was quick and easy and the receptionist arranged for us to keep the same rooms for the 2 nights.
Part of the offer for the itison voucher was a bottle of wine, so once we were ready to go to the rooms, we were given an ice bucket with our wine.and off we went to our rooms.
Room was small but everything that you needed was in it. The decor is quirky and very Glaswegian :-). Welcome was displayed on the TV and gave info about Covid precautions as well as general info.
Shower was FANTASTIC - very powerful and plenty hot water
Bed was really comfortable and the curtains made the room very dark
The location of the hotel is excellent, not far off George Square and near pubs and restaurants as well as the shops
Would definitely recommend this hotel and will stay there again

Booked the Ibis for it’s convenient location in close to the Central train station for giving a conference talk at the SECC.
Lovely relaxed style with a friendly welcome from the receptionist for a quick and efficient check in and then she explained the restaurant offer and breakfast options.
High standard of presentation throughout nothing shabby or tired.
The room was modern and quirky picking up on the cultural and industrial richness of the city - good facilities. I am not a fan of UHT milk and would be even better if a small bottle of real milk was offered at reception to take to your room - an a small piece of shortbread or biscuit would be welcome too - to be fair a well stocked vending machine in the reception offers chocolate bars etc. Just a suggestion to improve even further.
Lots of options to eat out near by too. The breakfast had a reasonable choice for all tastes on a self service basis and was hot, tasty and quick which is what I needed on this visit.
All in all a good experience and if you are on a city break the Ibis provides clean, stylish and comfortable accommodation at a reasonable price and I would certainly use this hotel and recommend to others.
Thank you to all the Ibis team both seen and unseen for a lovely overnight stay.

I was not disappointed with this hotel. Great central location to all three train stations, within walking distance all all the shops as well as bars and restaurants. The hotel is decorated to reflect Glasgow and Scotland which was wonderful. Staff were very friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. We had lunch which was delicious. We didn’t have to book a time for breakfast, just turn up, or we had an option to even get it delivered to our room at a time of our choice. Beds were very comfortable & shower was very powerful - just what’s needed to wake you up after a night out. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough and will definitely recommend to friends.

We had a one-night stay in Glasgow while in transit back home from a trip around the UK. This ibis Styles hotel offered a great value for what was truly one of the best nights of our trip, hotel-wise. The room was spacious and clean, we were provided a few small complementary welcome treats in the room which we appreciated, especially given the already great value of the room, and the bed was firm and very comfortable (we prefer a slightly firmer mattress, so it was great after a few nights on beds that were too soft to feel supportive). We also popped down to the breakfast area in the morning, not remembering whether we had opted into breakfast or not, to check - if not, we were already planning to go grab a coffee and breakfast out. However, the manager there at reception told us that though we didn't opt for breakfast in the price of our stay, we could have breakfast there as it was almost over by that time, and I imagine otherwise much of the food would go by the wayside. We were very appreciative of this courteousness, which the person at reception did not at all need to offer us, and enjoyed the pastries, cereal, and hot food and coffee made available to us. Really a lovely gesture and felt very above and beyond what we expected. The staff were otherwise welcoming and pleasant, and also allowed us to stow our bags upon check out. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

This hotel is in an excellent location in central Glasgow. Initial entry on the ground floor at first is a little dark, but then all the lights come on - it's stairs or a lift to the first floor reception, where the staff were super friendly.
Rooms are quite small but more than adequate for a short leisure stay with a comfortable bed and good shower, and a couple of Tunnocks tea cakes and cans of Irn Bru in the room. An original proposition of Ibis Styles was these things would be common, but the brand has diluted over the years.
Another initial Styles standard was the inclusive breakfast, which this hotel upholds. A hot selection including lorne sausage is available as well as cold cuts, pastries and fruits. They also deliver to room, but nor sure if that was just a Covid-era thing.
The hotel decor is slightly mocking Glasgow: ship yard cranes and traffic cones feature prominently.
A solid choice at good value in central Glasgow.

Stayed here with my husband after a night out in Glasgow. The location is really good - close to Queens Street station and George Square
The room was fairly small but had a wardrobe and a shelf for putting cases on. Everything nice and clean
Breakfast was included in the rate. It's mainly cold food but certainly enough for us.
Didn't have much to do with the staff but everyone we met was courteous and friendly
Would recommend this place if you're happy with good 'no frills' accommodation

This hotel is in a great location in the city centre, within easy reach out public transport hubs. Care parking is available at the nearby Glasshouse car park. Check in was quick and efficient - staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The room was well-appointed, with all the facilities you'd expect in a 3-star hotel. There were tea/coffee making facilities in the room and if you ran out of supplies, you could pop down to the reception/eating area and pick up more, as well as get coffee and tea from the machines there.
There wasn't a lot of noise and disturbance in the hotel and as the rooms are located on upper floors, you didn't get too much noise from the street outside.
I'd definitely recommend this hotel and would definitely return.
