The receptionist at the hotel (Ellie) was unbelievable helpful, not only for Glasgow, but also her homeland of Crete. Very knowledgeable and nothing was too much trouble. Hotel was excellent, with a good hearty breakfast available in the morning.
We had a one-night stay in Glasgow while in transit back home from a trip around the UK. This ibis Styles hotel offered a great value for what was truly one of the best nights of our trip, hotel-wise. The room was spacious and clean, we were provided a few small complementary welcome treats in the room which we appreciated, especially given the already great value of the room, and the bed was firm and very comfortable (we prefer a slightly firmer mattress, so it was great after a few nights on beds that were too soft to feel supportive). We also popped down to the breakfast area in the morning, not remembering whether we had opted into breakfast or not, to check - if not, we were already planning to go grab a coffee and breakfast out. However, the manager there at reception told us that though we didn't opt for breakfast in the price of our stay, we could have breakfast there as it was almost over by that time, and I imagine otherwise much of the food would go by the wayside. We were very appreciative of this courteousness, which the person at reception did not at all need to offer us, and enjoyed the pastries, cereal, and hot food and coffee made available to us. Really a lovely gesture and felt very above and beyond what we expected. The staff were otherwise welcoming and pleasant, and also allowed us to stow our bags upon check out. I would not hesitate to stay here again.…
We have stayed numerous times at this hotel. It is central for restaurants, bars, shops , transport etc. The train stations are not far at all. Parking in the area is also easy, the rooms are clean and the staff are friendly. We will be back again soon.
Thoroughly enjoyable stay in ibis Styles. We had booked 6 rooms, over 2 nights, for family reunion and everyone said how pleasant the hotel was to stay in. Staff were unobtrusive and so helpful and accommodating with any queries- always a positive response from them. The hotel was modern, quirky- Glasgow themed, and very clean. Great city centre location and on a lovely quiet road. We slept well in the comfortable bedrooms.Great choice at breakfast and in a lovely relaxed setting. Very good value for money.Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.
Hidden entrance, reception on first floor. Have stayed in various Accor hotels in Glasgow, but this is central From Natalie at check in through our stay, budget hotel but friendly staff. Room basic but clean got on on the eighth floor to reduce notice, but not a problem. Liked the Tunnocks tea cake and Irn Bru Breakfast was a good selection with sausages, bacon, eggs and potato scones. Basic but clean, friendly and central, what more could u ask for, drinks in the bar reasonable too
Very disappointed with the standard of the breakfast, very poor choice compared with other Ibis we have stayed at. No room service on a two night stay. Staff were O.K. Location convenient for Glasgow Central
Good, clean room, staff at reception were very friendly and helpful. Interior decor based on Glasgow landmarks was a nice touch, great location in the heart of the city! Would definitely stay here again!
Was transferred here after original hotel fell through .location great ..fantastic room ,bar, breakfast and most important STAFF (sat 26/03/22) THANKYOU Room spotless credit to housekeeping ..staff on bar /reception great cheers
Perfectly located in the city Center and you get what you pay for . Decent rooms with good amenities for a short stay. Bonus is the 24x7 reception /bar and free wifi. I was served by David during my stay and it was absolutely perfect . Ideal location, close to city Center hotspots
I booked the Ibis for myself and my hubby for a night away as it seemed highly recommended. We had a pleasant enough stay, we just found our room to be small. The hotel was clean, the staff were friendly and welcoming and it has a great location if you are having a night out in the Merchant City. Our room was very clean, the bed linen was crisp and fresh with extra pillows in the cupboard if required. The decor in our room was quirky, like the rest of the hotel. We had a king size bed but there was only room for one person to walk past the bottom of the bed. The bed was our only complaint, it was rock hard as were the pillows so we didn’t get a good sleep. The bathroom was stocked with full size shampoo and shower gel which was great. But again the bathroom was tiny. You can touch the door whilst sitting on the loo. Breakfast was served up until 11am and there was a selection of hot food, pastries and cereals. All in all a nice hotel that has everything you need just a little on the small side.…
