I always use a Travelodge when travelling & need an overnight stay. This is first time Iv travelled since pre Covid & enjoyed my stay. Close by to both Glasgow Central & Queen Street Station’s for onward journeys. Breakfast was good & overall my stay was good value for money. Would use this Travelodge again.
Everything was great, staff friendly, great location right in front of the modern art museum. On top of that, pets are allowed at the hotel, at least inside the rooms as we never tried to take it to the bar or something. Will stay there again next time we visit Glasgow
Easy check in, bed comfortable, everything as it should be. Be aware that the doors slam so you are likely to be woken numerous times, and that walls appear to be thin so can hear voices in next room. You may find it easier to go back to your room if needing toilet as they are downstairs from cafe and need room key to access. Lots of places locally to get a cheaper breakfast!!
The room was internal facing so no view but was very quiet. Everywhere was clean except the corridor where they seemed (unsuccessfully) to be trialling a robot cleaner. It was close to the centre so close to the station and shops but a couple of miles from the Kelvingrove arty areas but The walk was interesting anyway
Staff esp Alec very welcoming and patient, effecient, this location is great for what Glasgow has to offer, excellent price, quiet, clean, was surprised how the bathroom was so clean.Tis a good base to travel surrounding areas,i went on the train to Loch Lomond,Queen Street Train Station less than 5 mins.from hotel, within an hour i was in beautiful quiet Loch Lomond, because of the staff and cleanliness of this hotel would use again if oly for a base though i would stress Glasgow is a very clean city and is definitely not rough and is completely safe.
