I had room 12 on the top floor which is a bit of a trek but room was spacious despite being in the eves and the bathroom looked new. The big problem is the shower as there are no instructions and it took ages to get hot water, I had to get the receptionist up to fix it. It's only...

This hotel offered Victorian hospitality in modern times. The decor was stunning and the staff simply delightful. Please note that, should one have trouble with stairs, this is not the place for you as it takes climbing a hill and stair to get to the hotel and then a series of stairs to the rooms.

Great room with en suite. Hotel has a great atmosphere. Facilities were fine and good choices for continental breakfast. Handy for Byres Road, Botanic Gardens and Oran Mor. Would definitely use again if ever I go to Glasgow.

A beautiful property with big, spacious rooms and very friendly and helpful staff. The B&B is within easy walking distance of the University, the Botanical Gardens and the many museums in Glasgow. Parking is an issue and the breakfast was on the light side, but would definitely visit again if in the city.

We loved staying at the Alfred hotel. From its exceptional stylish decor to the most convenient location in the city, everything was great. The only thing I wasn't completely satisfied was the size of bathroom/shower in our double room. It's a little too small and it was hard not to bump into things if you want to stretch or even...

What a lovely warm welcome from the staff of the Alfred, and a big corner room full of the changeable light of Scotland. It is set up above and away from the busy road, and convenient for the hipster area of West End. Breakfast is most enjoyable in the big front room. Coffee in the room. Shower works great. Comfortable...

This hotel was once a beautiful old house before becoming a hotel it retains all original features and a beautiful sweeping staircase, if you are unfit or in anyway infirm it's not for you, i had to take my shoes off to climb the stairs and at one part of the stairs it is extremely dark and narrow with a...

I recently booked over the phone and stayed here with my husband and 6month old son based on trip advisor reviews. We were looking for a comfy hotel, good location somewhere handy for getting about the city. Location couldn't have been better although there's no close/ on site parking (recommend free parking by the botanical gardens) and there's abit of...

The location of The Alfred is great, if you're looking to explore Glasgow's West End. We only stayed for one night, and I'm not sure we could have been comfortable there much longer. The bed was rather comfortable and the size of the room was pretty good, but everything else left something to be desired. The hot water in the...
