Our Premier Inn Glasgow Pacific Quay (SECC) hotel is one of the best places to stay for events in Glasgow. The OVO Hydro arena and Scottish Events Campus - or SEC as it's better known - are less than a 10-minute walk from our Glasgow SECC Premier Inn, perfect if you're visiting for live performances or exhibitions. With Glasgow attractions like Kelvingrove Park, the Riverside Museum and the Glasgow Science Centre Tower nearby, make sure you save some time for sightseeing in Scotland. Our SECC hotel is great for stopovers too - Glasgow Airport is just a 15-minute drive away, and the Exhibition Centre train station is just across Bell's Bridge. Wrap up your days out in Glasgow with a tasty meal back at our in-house Thyme restaurant before heading back to your room and super-comfy bed.

The Premier Inn Glasgow Pacific Quay (SECC) hotel garners appreciation for its cleanliness and prime location near the OVO Hydro, making it a hit with concert-goers. While the rooms are generally found to be clean and comfortable, some guests have pointed out maintenance and size inconsistencies.
The hotel's atmosphere is noted as unremarkable for celebratory occasions, and despite the friendly staff, service experiences can be a hit or miss. Travelers also advise caution with the additional parking fees, which have received mixed feedback regarding their value.

Detailed Reviews
This was a first time visit to this particular Premier Inn and having stayed at many up and down the country we expected no different. We had booked a Premier Plus Room due to my mobility issues as we normally do but this one had no walk in shower. It’s was an over bathe type shower within a very high bath. I was under the impression that all Premier Plus rooms had walk in showers and when I went back to reception was advised they didn’t have any walk in showers / wet rooms. It meant I was unable to use that facility. That was our only disappointment. The proximity to the Ovo Hydro is wonderful. The disable parking facility was good but even with a blue badge still cost £5 ( I thought with a blue badge most parking was free). The beds are comfortable we slept well. Breakfast was excellent. So overall an ok stay. Premier please do sort out your descriptions of rooms more clearly ie over bath showers or wet rooms for each hotel as I was sorely disappointed about this one.

Hotel's Favourite
I have frequently stayed at this hotel over the past few years. It’s a go-to for me as the location is ideal for attending the ovo hydro.
I have always been made to feel welcomed here and staff are always friendly.
Breakfast is good, lots to choose from and decent for the price. Room was spacious, good choice of amenities, comfortable bed and cleaned to high standards.
This was my first time staying in a premier plus room and was only due to it being the only rooms available. I had previously never stayed in one as didn’t think it was worth it for the extra money however it did exceed my expectations. I enjoyed the extra amenities, nice view and luxury that comes with the room. The only let down is there not being any accessible premier plus rooms as I would have benefited from one.
During other stays staff have gone out their way to make accommodations (for my disability) during breakfast, so to be seated near buffet and when no close seats left was allocated one asap and offered help in meantime.
Often attend with friends. This was my first time solo travelling. I am highly likely to return in the future when staying in Glasgow.
Thank you

As a wheelchair user I like to know that what I am coming to is a room which I can access and most importantly use all the facilities without assistance.
I know from previous experience that "Accessible Room" doesn't necessarily mean that my wheelchair can fit through the bathroom door or that I can get into the shower!
I know that any Premier Inn is going to fulfil all my needs and requirements without any of the assosciated anxiety of venturing to a new environment.
The service was fantastic, friendly helpful and efficient staff. Scrupulously clean rooms, a nice low bed - Easy for wheelchair transfers and extra pilows !
On this occasion I chose a room with a bath as this is a novelty for me as I always use a shower chair.
The bath's for disabled access have a decent access area on which to transfer from wheelchair to bath and back and also upon which to dry oneself. The bath is shallower than a regular bath to aid with gettingin/out also which is a MUST.
The Bar and Restaurant were excellent reasonable prices and high quality, breakfast 2nd to none.
Overall for a disabled wheelchair customer I'd not look any further than Premier Inn for a stress free enjoyable stay at very reasonable price in a good location

Really interesting to read the more recent comments of the place becoming dirty. Well that’s probably because housekeeping is NOT standard here (and to be frank not interested either) even if you pay premium for a “plus” room. I note other feedbacks are similar.
You have to physically queue each morning at reception and ask for it or your room won’t get touched. I did ask reception and put the hanger outside my door and still got completely ignored all week so with my bin overflowing I cut my stay short and left.
I also had to report to reception every day to collect my WiFi code too as they were now “no longer able” to supply a week’s code.
Just shocking staff who seem disinterested and miserable in their jobs.
This Prem used to be really good but something has gone terribly wrong here.
When you include the cost of the car parking, the other hotels opposite such as Crowne Plaza, Village and Hilton (who do service rooms!) offer comparable prices and offer a much better service.

Stayed for 1 night to attend a concert at the SECC Armadillo and the following is my honest assessment of our stay.
Plus points : property is ideal for attending SECC and Hydro entertainment venues.
Parking was not included in hotel cost but was a very cheap ÂŁ5.00 per 24 hours.
Hotel is very clean and tidy and has a Costa outlet on site
Staff were pleasant at check- in , although possibly a bit “officious”
Bedroom was a Premier room with Coffee machine , iron and board , free bottled water and complimentary chocolates .
Bed was comfortable (very!) with extra pillows available
Negative points :
Towels in bathroom were large and fluffy , but there was only one large towel , which we only noticed when we both wanted to shower in the morning.
Looked out into corridor to see if a housekeeping trolley was around - no luck
No phone in the room and trying the link to reception shown on the booking came up as number “not obtainable/ not recognised” tried the reception number on website from my mobile , but , after about 20 rings , I gave up as nobody answered .(we advised the reception on checking out about the towel issue and was told it was a room for one person , even though our booking confirmation stated two people and two breakfasts)
Bath has a shower screen which somehow leaked water all over floor.
Design of room was also a bit weird with a floor to ceiling window , approx just over 2 feet wide , stuck down in the corner of the room , with a further 10/12 feet of wall (covered by a curtain ) which gave the room a cramped feel , even though it was reasonably spacious.
The breakfast(s) mentioned above were another disappointment , although staff were courteous and helpful , the available food was disappointing .
Orange juice was obviously a concentrate and not fresh
A reasonable selection of breads , fruits , yoghurts etc but only one toaster that seemed to be working correctly
Cereals were a reasonable selection but , fresh fruit salad and compote were a bit bland
Hot food items were a bit of a let down with Black pudding being tasteless and stodgy, which was pretty much similar with hash browns and fried egg my wife had and the scrambled egg I had was a bit over cooked
Tea and coffee were adequate even though out of a machine
Overall a disappointing stay , which is a shame considering the ideal location and comfortable beds and cleanliness of rooms should make it a first choice , but, the lack of towels , an - in room phone and also no room safe - were lacking in what was a Premier Plus room and generally tasteless breakfast means 3 out of 5 is a generous score for a very average stay

After paying almost 130 a night for 2 adults and a child, which I think it's pretty expensive for Premier Inn, my experience with the hotel service was really poor.
Premier Inn apply a policy for stays of more than 1 night, so you have to let reception know that you want your room to be cleaned before leaving the room for the day. I consider that this policy is ridiculous, as obviously you are staying in a hotel and not in an apartment, and therefore you want the room to be cleaned.
In any case, we stay for 2 nights and before we left after the 1st night I let reception know that we needed the room to be cleaned. Upon our return to the room in the evening, we discovered that the room was not cleaned, which was really annoying. I asked in reception for an explanation and obviously they didn't know anything. They offered me for the receptionist to clean the room, which I refused because my family was already in the room and I (obviously) didn't want them to be disturbed.
I wanted to put a complaint but apparently that can only be done online, so I submitted it and received a response saying that 'We are looking into your comments and will respond to you within 35 days, please do not send further contacts as it will only delay our responses'. I'm currently waiting for a response. Again, 35 days is completely unacceptable, if you are too busy you should recruit more staff members for the customer support service, that is not the customer problem.
Apart from this, the breakfast service was really poor. The cooked breakfast was not serviced to the table, but instead offered as a 'buffet' service, which was not a good option; some stuff was not available (e.g., fried eggs) and the quality of the food was not as expected.
Other issue is the car park. According to the information displayed in the hotel website, this is a 'Chargeable parking is available next to the hotel at ÂŁ5 per 24 hours. This car park is managed by YourParkingSpace' - This information is not accurate, cost for 24hr is 10 pounds instead of 5, and when searching for the parking site online (via YourParkingSpace), it is clearly said there that the parking is managed by Premiere Inn.
I'm really disappointed with this hotel, it was expensive, with major service issues, poor breakfast service and unclear parking conditions

I would say this is one of the best Premier Inns we have stayed in. The room had a really comfortable bed, very quiet and a climate control system that worked really well and not noisy. The on-site parking was chargeable but that was OK. We paid for four days (ÂŁ5 a day) and you could come and go as often as you would like.

Hotel booked well in advance (February for August) with Online Reservation and Instant Payment and therefore we paid a lower amount than it would have been, average figure for hotels of the same category in Glasgow.
The property is located on the outskirts of the city, the center can be reached on foot with a long walk or by taxi (expense of about 10-15 pounds).
The staff is friendly and courteous, available to help.
There is a paid car park in front of the hotel (ÂŁ8 per day, when we went there was an offer at ÂŁ5 per day), so it is convenient and affordable.
The structure is modern, overlooking the river and the environment is quiet.
I've read reviews that say it's modern, but I honestly don't find it so modern, having just stayed at a premier inn in Edinburgh. In the bathroom no mixer, the bathtub with the plastic curtain (horror!!), very little space to fix things, the small room and tiny beds (especially the double), looks just like a business hotel except that the Wi-Fi network is also bad. Only near a bedside table was a power outlet, the other side of the bed was completely without power outlets. I put my cell phone under the TV, too bad the socket didn't work.
Breakfast is served on the ground floor, rich and plentiful, with a good choice of both sweet and savoury, English and continental food. The price for breakfast is good (about ÂŁ12 and children do not pay).
In short, for a short stay hit-and-run ok, for a longer stay maybe there could be better.

We stayed at Premier Inn for 5 nights during Worldcon. We had booked a family room for our 4 member family and to our dismay we realized it was just a standard room with wall-to-wall beds, with no room to stand between them. Nothing like the photo on their website. When my husband talked to the reception people about it they told him that all the rooms are the same size and the hotel was fully booked.
While the location and the view is excellent, we found the breakfast service (that we had paid extra for) to be poor and the food cold. The people working the breakfast shift were really nice and friendly. Not so for the reception desk people, when they bothered being around.

Spent 2 nights at this riverside hotel which has plenty of parking and is only 5 mins from M8. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and it was great having a Costa Coffee adjoining the hotel itself, plus there were snack and drinks machines in reception and an onsite bar / restaurant. Stayed in a Premier Plus room which have the tiniest of windows so very little natural light. They are well equipped and small fridge is useful . Unfortunately the wifi in the first room I was checked into was not working and so I had to switch to a different room, which was accompanied with issues with the door keys, That aside, the location, on site facilities and staff were all superb. It's a 20min walk into the city centre or there is a train station 5 mins walk away, plus the tourist 'Hop on / Off' bus even closer

We needed an early meal, late afternoon and managed to get hot food from main menu.
It would probably take about 30 minutes or so. We walked to Exhibition Centre station (5-10 minutes) which has trains which run every 10 mins or so and is about 4-5 mins on the train from Glasgow Central.
The contact us page has lots of options, I’ve always found them quite responsive
