what more can i say everything was spot on we have a small hotel on the isle of skye and it was so nice to go somewhere where they have the same standards we have stayed in other hotels in Glasgow and this was clearly a class above not cheap but you get what you pay for lovely owners and...

I made my second visit to the Alamo with a very exacting companion whose usual choice for a weekend break is a 5 star hotel. Having stayed 2 years ago with my adult son, I knew he'd have nothing to worry about. The elegant exterior impresses & the building is beautifully placed next to the park & close to Kelvingrove...

I stayed at this wonderful guest house with my daughter just at the beginning of university in september and did not want to leave so even went back for a sixth night. I have not tasted bacon and eggs like it-from a local farm-enough reason alone to return! And the ceiling in the dining room is a work of art-a...

Excellant service from Steve with great recommendations for nearby restaurants. Lovely decor with charm. Great breakfasts with plenty of choice. Small but lovely room with everything I needed and all spotlessly clean. Great location on a quiet street with views over the park. I was at a conference at the SECC, which is a 10 minute walk away.

This is an excellent guest house! The owners attention to detail and service makes all the difference. Even the most demanding clients will enjoy staying here. Shared facilities are very good if you do not wish to take the en-suite. The decor has atmosphere and charm. The location is also very convenient for visitors to Glasgow.

I recently attend a conference at the University and my stay in Glasgow was made all the more enjoyable by the hospitality received at the Alamo Guest House. A very quiet location with very comfortable rooms. The staff were most helpful and I will certainly be visiting again!!!

Steve and Emma along with their staff are very welcoming. The comfortable rooms and ensuites are very clean as is the house generally....

Our first visit to Glasgow was enhanced by the cheerful, helpful owner and staff at this very well located, comfortable guest house. Nice breakfasts, quiet rooms and very, very good showers. Lovely outside garden, calm old cat, and friendly guests.

I was in Glasgow this weekend for a conference and we booked in at the Alamo Guest House without really knowing what to expect. The Alamo is a beautiful building and the rooms, bathrooms and decor were all comfy, clean and tasteful. The manager was very friendly from the get-go and always eager to help or get us anything extra...

This was ok, but I wouldn't return. Our first impression was that the owner was rushed and a little annoyed that we'd arrived too early (10:30), with a long explanation about having to get the rooms cleaned after the last guests, after all! Okay, but emails had said any time after 10 a.m. was okay. We sat in the dining...

I am very sorry that you feel that you would not be able to return to our guest house and there was not one redeeming quality or positive thing to say about us at all :o( We do find that some guests do not read e-mails fully and on rare occasions there can be misunderstanding about getting into a room...
