The beautifully restored building provides excellent comfort. Right next to Kelvingrove Park the Alamo is ideal for visiting the Kelvingrove Museum, the Hunterian and the Macintosh House. There are also a wide variety of restaurants within walking distance and public transport to reach other parts of the city are only a short walk away.

"What A Gem Of A Place!!!!! Opting for somewhere that was a bit more personal than the usual offering of the generic boxes on offer walking distance from the Hydro, I came across the Alamo Guest House’s website. There are many pictures displaying what their rooms are like. I was so impressed that I booked Room 12. To say I was blown away was an understatement! Initially, we were greeted by a member of staff who was so friendly. The Victorian property has been lovingly restored with a funky edge and the love and care oozes out of every wall. We met with both owners during our stay, they were so kind and generous with their time and the breakfast was delicious to boot! I sound gushy but it truly was a wonderful experience. We will definitely be back and have no hesitation recommending this wee gem, a stones throw from Kelvingrove Museum in the West End of Glasgow."

We booked the Alamo based on a referral from a friend of a friend and we weren’t disappointed. Beautifully appointed room in a gorgeous Victorian building, extensive breakfast menu, quiet but very handy location in the west end of Glasgow (very close to restaurants, Kelvingrove Art Gallery and transport) and very lovely & friendly onsite hosts (Emma & Steve). A few other points that were key to us enjoying our stay: - Considering they have a number of rooms, it was extremely quiet and we never heard other guests. - We left really early on our final day & Steve made up a breakfast package for us to have before we left which we weren’t expecting, lovely surprise! - There is also a shared fridge that guest can utilise which was really handy Will definitely stay here again if we make it back to Glasgow. Tip: I booked through a booking site which is more expensive. If you book direct with Alamo, you get a better price

The Alamo Guest House is located right near the Kelvingrove Museum and the university. We looked out onto the grass tennis courts right across the street. The Hop on-Hop Off bus picked up at the end of the street, great restaurants within walking distance. Room was lovely, maybe a little small, but it made up for it in ambience. Breakfast was tasty and the host was very helpful. Loved the slab towel heater in the bathroom...helped to dry out our wet coats after a long walk in the rain!

We had to cancel our booking due to covid but the owner could not have been more helpful and accommodating. Her kindness really touched me. We are very much looking forward to staying here in the future.

Would award Alamo six stars if I could. Thoroughly enjoyable experience and would definitely be our choice next time we stay in Glasgow. People could not have been nicer or more helpful. Location is brilliant too. Faultless!

Our first stay at Alamo Guest House and my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed it. We stayed for two nights and wished we could have stayed longer. Our room was very comfortable, spotlessly clean and had every amenity we required. Steve and his team were all very attentive and nothing was too much trouble for anyone. Breakfast provision was first class, both in the quality of produce and the friendly service. My wife is coeliac, so requires gluten free food, and she was very pleased with the gluten free options. The location of the Alamo Guest House was also perfect for us as our daughter lives two minutes walk away. Looking forward to going back soon.

We stayed at the Alamo Guest House over a weekend, and it was perfect. Amazing location with beautiful views, with the benefit of the West End on your doorstep and within walking distance to the city centre. The host was friendly and welcoming. Our room was beautiful, the attention to detail was amazing, and the room was super clean, (really important to me!) Brilliant choice of breakfast to pick and mix from, served in a lovely Dining Room, (with great music playing in the kitchen!) I would whole heartedly reccomend this fab Bed and Breakfast, and hope I return one day soon.
