This hotel is within walking distance of the university in the west end area of Glasgow (much nicer than the central areas, in my opinion). It's very good value, if a little dilapidated, but I would much rather have a good room rate, than a brand new hall, stairs & landing carpet! The first thing that strikes you is the...

This was a very comfortable hotel, and very friendly. It was a little tricky to find for us who were unfamiliar with Glasgow so that good directions and a map to start with would be very helpful. Although close to the heart of Glasgow and on a busy road it was a surprisingly quiet place. The hotel also puts on...

This place was extremely hard to find a parking place. Once you find the place in the dark you realize there is no parking lot and you will have to park in the nearby neighborhood. Parking in Glasgow was very hard to find. We arrived around 8 which wasn't a problem. They checked us in pretty quickly and got us...

Great rooms, great location, even better than great staff and so close to so many things in the West End. Loved it and hope to come back for a longer stay as soon as I can. Will be recommending this hotel to everyone I know.

We have been to this hotel a few times over the years It has improved over this time and although cosmetically it requires a wee bit attention- for the price paid and it's location it represents good value for money

The Clifton is the most charming place! We greatly enjoyed our stay. The hotel is so nice and the location is great! The breakfast was delicious and the staff was very friendly. Ms. Cathy was so nice and welcoming! We defiantly would book this hotel again. We did not want to leave! Thank you again for a wonderful stay!

Stayed in the four poster room, good value for money, clean, plenty of storage space. Breakfast hot and cooked to order. Parking a bit of a nightmare, but there are spaces at the front of the hotel for a charge, but if you park further away its free at a weekend. Staff were friendly and lovely and interested in what...

Terraced town house with interesting architectural features. Spacious room, not particularly plush or luxurious, but clean and comfortable. Our first floor room faced out the back of the building and was quiet in what can be a noisy area for nightlife? Good value for money, would use again.

We loved this place! I booked the room with the four-poster bed and it was enchanting! Large room with nice tasteful furniture and a huge bathroom! The bed was very comfortable and we had a great view of the street scene below. The area was very nice with great eateries and pubs within walking distance. Not a bad thing at...

I opted for the standard room and I was given a key to the basement. If you have any issues with space than maybe look elsewhere cause we had to turn sideways to maneuver. Toilet and shower was filthy. They were held together by mouldy masking tape as you can see in my pics. The standard room clearly had no...
