Premier Inn Hotel Glasgow City Centre (Buchanan Galleries) is what its name suggests, smack dab in the middle of Glasgow. So if you want to get amongst the great nightlife, shopping, theatres and cinemas, you'll be right at the heart of the action. Spend the morning strolling through the Buchanan Galleries doing some window shopping. Then find a window for lunch before an afternoon watching some great sport at the Emirates Arena. Nestled in the heart of the city, Premier Inn Glasgow City Centre Buchanan Galleries Hotel garners applause for its updated, clean rooms and prime location, convenient for concerts and local explorations. While guests commend the staff's friendliness, some have experienced less attentive service. The ambiance of the hotel is generally well-received, offering a comfortable stay despite occasional noise issues and maintenance gripes.
Opinions on value are split, with some guests finding the pricing reasonable and others pointing out additional costs. The hotel's amenities, especially the comfortable beds and good breakfast, are highlights, although the Wi-Fi service and breakfast area size have room for improvement.

This hotel is in a great location for getting around the area by bus, coach, train and Subway. It's also the perfect location for attending a show/concert at the adjacent Glasgow Royal Concert Hall. All rooms are well insulated from the busy city outside. They've recently been updated to the new Premier Inn style, a particular benefit of that being, there is now a walk-in shower rather than the old arrangement of a shower over a bath. However, the comfy big armchair was missing from my room. The restaurant is yet to receive its makeover, which hopefully will happen soon. The evening meal menu is now missing several key starter and main course dishes. This could impact guests with a more traditional taste in food. Staff told me some of these dishes were due to be reintroduced later this year. The rooms are accessed by three lifts, so there is never long to wait to get in one. I paid a bit more than I would have liked for my stay, but the location was a key factor in my decision on this visit to the city.

Stayed here earlier this month as I was attending the Paul Heaton & Rianne Downey gig at the Ovo Hydro.
The hotel is perfectly located - just a 10 minute walk from Glasgow Central Street which was perfect for getting to and from the gig. There is also Buchanan Street Galleries shopping centre just across the road so this was handy too.
The hotel is one with the new style rooms and in my opinion, they are an improvement on the previous style. The big difference is the shower as they now come with a detachable shower head which makes showering much easier. The general style of the room was very smart and the price I paid was a bargain.
The bed and pillows were the usual comfiness and they were spot on.
The only slight issue I had with my stay was breakfast. It was quite busy so there was some eagerness to turn the tables over quite quickly - it's understandable but I didn't appreciate one of the staff trying to clear my table (collecting a small plate) whilst I was still eating. This only happened on my first morning thankfully. This hotel has a large number of rooms spread across approx 18 floors so I don't understand why they have such a small breakfast/restaurant area.
Other than that, the stay was spot on and I will definitely stay here again.

Room Tip:Â If you've booked for breakfast, I recommend going down early. It's very busy around 9am.

We have stayed at this hotel on numerous occasions because of the proximity to the bus station and also it's very handy for the Royal Concert Hall. Usually if we have arrived before 3pm (or pre Covid 2pm) we have been able to leave luggage in a locked room. This time however, we arrived at 5 mins to 2 and, although our room was ready, were told that there would be an extra charge of ÂŁ10 (fair enough that's their terms) If we had only had hand luggage we would have left and gone for coffee, but we were going off on holiday the next day and had two suitcases. There was no offer of a locked room, only a section of the restaurant which was blocked off by 3 stools, looked after by the receptionist who was booking us in. There was no room in the bar to wait as it was full of people in the same situation. I saw one person simply move the stools, go in and take his bag out with no challenge. We paid the ÂŁ10 but will be very careful when or if we book this hotel again.

I have enjoyed 3 amazing and excellent nights at this awesome and lovely Premier Inn. The check-in was very quick and easy. I received a lovely warm and friendly welcome from the lovely receptionist.
The Room I stayed in a Premier Plus room located to the front of the hotel on the 14th floor. The room was extremely clean and well done to the housekeeping staff for their excellent work. It was nice and spacious. The bed was very comfortable, and the ensuite was luxurious with a lovely shower cubicle, white, sink, and toilet a good size. The in room facilities were excellent as it contained a coffee machine, kettle, and a fridge, which was amazing for keeping my drinks nice and chilled. The two chocolates and two bottles of water were a nice touch. The view out if the window was excellent.
The staff All the staff at the hotel were all extremely friendly, warm, welcoming, kind, and hospitable. The restaurant staff as well as the receptionists. They were very helpful when booking for dinner and if you had any questions.
The Hotel
All areas of the hotel are very clean, neat, and tidy. The location of this Premier is excellent very close to Glasgow Bus station just 5 mins away, 5 minutes walk to the subway station as well as central and Queens street railway stations. It's close to main shopping areas in the city.
The food The quality of the food is excellent. I ate breakfast and dinner on all 3 nights of my stay and both excellent quality. The choice at breakfast is amazing as well as a good dinner menu to.
I would highly recommend you book this hotel in Glasgow. The best location is everything close by. Thank you so much for making my stay very enjoyable. I will definitely stay at this hotel again next time I stay in Glasgow

Very comfortable nights stay in the heart of the city. Very close to the bus station for onward travel and on the doorstep for theatre, restaurants, shopping and much more. The rooms are well equipped with electrical sockets, table and chairs to relax, good lighting, air conditioning/heating and a good sized walk in shower.

The Buchanan Galleries Premier Inn hotel has a great location across from the bus station (good for catching our bus with a heavy suitcase in the morning). Our room had two very comfortable beds, good lighting and a lovely bathroom with a good shower. My son enjoyed playing his games online with his friends on his i pad and we both had a great sleep in our very comfortable room. We had breakfast and evening meal in the hotel and enjoyed both (my son said it was the best restaurant he had been to at a Premier Inn and how lovely all the staff were). The hotel is also great for transport links and close to shops, Thank you to all the team for a great stay and making us both so welcome, nothing was too much trouble for anyone.

Stayed here with my two kids in a family room. From the moment we checked in till we checked out (stayed two nights) the staff were super friendly and very helpful. Room was basic but was comfortable and met all needs. The free WiFi however was awful, always disconnecting and when connected was terrible, 3G on your phone would be quicker, if you managed to get it on the 12th floor. Did have one small issue with bath leaking but was quickly sorted when brought to the receptions attention. We had breakfast both mornings, which was great value that with a paying adult, my two children could eat for free. Breakfast was good and plenty of variety. Hotel is also in a great location if you want to go shopping etc loads of places near hand. Overall we had a fantastic trip and hotel met all our needs. Would defo stay here again.

Myself and friends were booked in for the night as we were attending a show at the Royal Concert Hall. I've stayed in several Premier Inns in different cities, but can honestly say it was one of the cleanest and friendliest and the location is very convenient for transport, entertainment and dining and drinks. There were renovations happening in the hotel but this was relayed in the email information on booking, so was not a major unexpected issue although the shortage of lifts could be an issue at times as these were being worked on, Check in assistant was very friendly and helpful, staff in the restaurant also were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was very tasty and a good selection of food available. All we needed for a night out.

I was in Glasgow for a special occasion and decided to book a Premier Plus room for the first time. For me it was worth the extra money for the fridge in which to put milk for decent tea and coffee, and for the champagne I'd been given. The citiscape at night from the 15th floor was an unexpected bonus, as was the coffee-making machine. I couldn't have enjoyed that coffee without decent milk, so the fridge was even more welcome. Other benefits of upgrading were the walk-in shower, luxury toiletries, iron and full-sized ironing board, comfy armchair with footstool placed to admire the view. Don't think I could afford to do this every time, but it did most definitely enhance this special occasion. Also the Buchanan Galleries PI has its own restaurant where I enjoyed two lovely buffet breakfasts without having to leave the building. It was also just a few steps from the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall where the event was being held.

if you get the meal deal before check in it’s about £25.00. Otherwise you will end up paying more. I don’t think you can get it after check in.
We didn’t eat there as so many other places around to eat at and lots of cheaper ones too. Have ate there before though and it was ok - breakfast was good.
Hope this helps. We always use premier inn if we can as they are consistent in quality and generally very centrally located. One thing else - always book as far in advance as you can as the prices of the rooms skyrocket the nearer you get to your stay dates.
There are more places to choose from in the Glasgow area.
