We stayed here for 2 nights and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel is perfectly located for those who want to hit the shops on Sauchiehall Street as it’s literally just around the corner. There are hundreds of eating places to choose from nearby and the receptionist was really helpful in pointing out the best places to visit. A trip to the Kelvingrove art gallery and museum is a must and you can get fabulous views of the city from The Lighthouse, which has an amazing spiral staircase. My partner loved having Sky Sports in our room and we chose to have breakfast on both the mornings we were there. There was plenty of choice and if you booked the night before, breakfast was discounted to £10. We came home with our very own Rennie the duck too 😃

Perfect location for our visit to Celtic Connections 2020! Nice room with really good and big bed, very good breakfast, helpful staff (except checkout).

But you can do better: We had to repeatedly ask to NOT have a new soap every day of our 9 night visit and please implement what so many other hotels do: leave towel on the floor if you want a new one - it is not environmentally OK to wash towels after one day's use during a 9 night stay! And we had to ask for toilet paper twice.

At check out, we were asked if we wanted a printed receipt or get it by e-mail. When you offer e-mail, you should at the same time swivel the screen so that the customer can look at the invoice. You did not, so I asked for printed and good that I did, as we were charged double price for our only breakfast and had to discuss to get it changed. That is why I do not rate service better than average.

Booked in for a few nights part of a staycation for 2020 had arrived earlier than check in time which wasn't an issue I got checked in still although my room from 5th floor was changed to 8th floor not a major issue.

Gentleman on reception was welcoming plenty safety measures in place with staff in masks, screens, sanitiser, new/used pens etc. Room was clean plenty room bed and pillows very comfortable definitely one of the best sleeps i've had in a hotel in recent years although this hotel is city centre there is little to no noise with the exception of road works during the day which were noisy but not the hotels fault. Room was at the back of the hotel so not much of a view unlike the front facing rooms but still had windows which opened (blinds could have used a clean along with the windows).

Room had sky tv which was great many only have freeview, room tempeture was fine and air con easy to use. All towels came in unopened sealed bag so no contamination before you use them, house keeping would not come into room which is understandable but still provided towels, toilet roll etc.

Shower handle was loose and seemed to be a little water damage on the roof guessing from a leak at some point but in the grand scheme of things this is minor issues. Plenty plug sockets and lights within room also room had mini fridge, safe, iron & tea/coffee.

Hotel does have a lounge with bar and kitchen during my visit I never checked these out but the area did look warm and welcoming. Check out nice and quick lady on reception was lovely and wished me a good day. In all enjoyable stay especially in these uncertain times, would stay again.

Had a great stay at this hotel, so closely located to the city centre. I was given the room on the 8th, which I was surprised of the views & loft style apartment. Could not of ask fir more as the provided all amenities, towels, slippers, gowns, toiletries, 2 TVS & both with full sky channels.

The breakfast was also decent with a small selection at the buffet & a large selection of a hot menu which is just enough & perfectly made.

I was here for 2 days on business, car parking is available on a pay meter located on all the streets & can be paid by phone, parking is free from 6pm-8am so that helps.

We were in town for a shopping trip and opted for this hotel as I had stayed before.
The staff were welcoming, informative and helpful.

We checked in quickly and walked into town - 5 minutes all downhill. The room was spacious, well decorated, comfortable and clean.

We had dinner in the evening. The restaurant waitress/manager was fantastic. She could not do enough to help us - even advising on the food. We had a fantastic meal. The restaurant was relaxed and had a great ambience.

We opted for breakfast in bed which was a feast and the food was hot - not always easy to achieve. The quality and quantity of the food was excellent and the hotel caters well for vegetarians.

Parking is simple with a QPark car park next door which the hotel discounts.

This is a hidden gem of a hotel. Great staff, service and facilities.

Paid £132 for one night with breakfast - kept waiting to check in for 20 minutes (only one person manning the desk), room was an ice-box and took an ages to warm up (heating only kicks in when the key is applied), and noisy water pipes kept me awake. Staffing is at a minimum. The restaurant staff were abundantly friendly and helpful by way of contrast - breakfast was ok without being excellent.

Dear Guest, Thank you for leaving us your review, we appreciate the feedback. I am glad to hear our restaurant staff were able to provide you a friendly service for your time in the restaurant. I am however sorry to hear of the issues you encountered during your stay. It is a case on occasions where we will have less staff members on shift than we would like, particularly at times outside of peak check in time- this can be down to many reasons and is not always within our control. I apologise for the delay in your check in process - 20 minutes is certainly not the standard time for check in so we will look into this. Thank you for choosing to stay at Apex City of Glasgow hotel, we hope to welcome you back in the future to hopefully provide you the excellent service we strive to provide to all guests. Kind Regards, Lindsay Sturrock General Manager

Lovely modern hotel, beautifully decorated. Bedroom had, wide screen TV, fridge, hairdryer and iron. Fab bathroom with large walk in shower.

DrinksbBar/breakast served downstairs but its not a restaurant as such. The cocktals were good.

Great location to shopping centre. Lots of bars and restaurants in the area.

The Howling Wolf bar is about 3 doors down and has live music until 3am so we did get disturbed by noise at night but overall its worth it for the cost and location of the hotel.

Would definitely return.

This was an excellent location for a quick city break to Glasgow. We stayed in a top floor duplex suite with floor to ceiling windows providing a stunning view across the city. Before we stayed we contacted the hotel about parking and received clear instructions (guests perhaps would benefit if these were on the website in FAQs) . All staff we came across were friendly and helpful, especially Laura on reception. The room was beautifully clean and modern and we appreciated all the little touches to make our stay special. Breakfast was table service and was very good with an extensive choice of hot food. The location is within easy walking distance to the city centre and shops but not near any really busy roads.

Stayed here in a duplex suite, hotel looks all brand new and clean. Check in time was 2:30pm however our room wasn’t ready till after 4pm which was disappointing as we payed 50 pounds extra for a upgrade, reason for this was because the people in before us had late check out at 2pm. Shouldn’t really effect my booking as I’m paying money just like them, had our anniversary dinner booked in a restaurant for half 5 and had to phone to change the time due to this. We got a free drink each while we waited for our room but like I say I paid to upgrade the room and was expecting to get the full use time wise out of it which I didn’t.

Marcos in the bar area was great, really chatty and great to talk to. Was gutted when we went down later to find out his shift had ended.

View from the room was amazing and the bed was comfy. Loved the lay out of it all and the free mini bar plus the apex duck we got to take away.

Check out was 11am feel due to getting the room late by an hour this should have been extended to 12pm to save rushing about in the morning.

All in all enjoyed our stay and would come back again, hopefully next time we get the 10/10 experience

I rarely write a review but having spent the first 2 weeks of November in Glasgow for work reasons, staying at the Apex, I feel compelled to acknowledge the exceptional level of service myself and colleagues received during our stay.

From the moment we arrived nothing was too much trouble, and the entire staff, from reception and restaurant, through to housekeeping and night portering were superb - professional, but very friendly, welcoming and attentive.

The hotel is fresh and modern, ideally located 30 seconds walk from Sauchiehall St and approximately 5 minutes walk from Glasgow City centre.
My room was spacious, with a large and very comfortable bed, and was spotlessly clean.

Food at the hotel was very good (the breakfasts especially) - service was fast and efficient but without making you feel "rushed". The restaurant manager and her staff went above and beyond to accommodate our working hours, even delaying the finish of breakfast service to allow us to eat after returning from work overnight.

This was my first visit to Glasgow but intend to visit again, although as a "tourist" next time! Having experienced the Apex, I would definitely return. My thanks to Kristi, Damian and all their staff for absolutely making our stay!
