Had a great time here the owner was helpful and helped me get set up in the UK and it was a good sized hostel were everyone socialised and played games and went out and did things together but also had the option to chill or have quiet time was located in a nicer area of Glasgow near the University...

The man running it was friendly and helpful, gave us free towels. Bedroom did not have a key but room had storage lockers. Clean hostel. Internet only worked on the main floor in the common area, not in the bedroom upstairs.

My first trip alone to Glasgow was funded by a whim. I wanted to not only escape my life, but see the place that bore one of the most influential adults I'd ever known, who had sadly passed two years previous. I compared a few hostels and eventually went with Bunkum after looking at the photographs and the location. It's...

The owner was very hospitable as my 3 friends and I needed beds the same night when prior plans fell through, he was also kind enough to help us up the stairs with all our bags. The building is absolutely beautiful and in a lovely area, we had some very picturesque walks. Very comfy sleeps as it was just the...

Really expensive for terrible facilities, poor bathrooms, kitchen and no included breakfast. You only get WiFi in the one common room. Bad location (up a giant hill) average beds. Would NOT recommend. Had a horrible experience with the tiny showers, only cold water!!!

I stayed in this hostel for one night in October 2014. I chose it because it was close to the university where I was attending an event. I’m unlikely to stay again. My very first impressions were fantastic: Mr. Bunkum opened the door and greeted me by name in a very friendly manner. I was happy that this was where...

This Hostel is independent and located in the West End of Glasgow. Travel connections are excellent with buses, subway and trains within easy reach. Accommodation is in the usual dormitory type rooms and the beds are clean and comfortable. The facilities are good and satisfied my needs. Kitchen, laundry and sitting room were very good. The owners were friendly, helpful...

I have stayed here a few times over the last two years. The location is excellent. Its right in the hub of the West End and less than a five minuet walk to the famous Byers road and Ashton lane where there is a wealth of great restaurants, bars and shops. The value is excellent especially as it is based...

Absolute bargain. Beautiful building and spacious dorms. The communal living room was extremely cosy and the kitchen very clean and tidy. Run by a very friendly gentleman who helped us with our heavy bags when we arrived, very much welcomed as we had cycled a long way and were both exhausted. For £12 a night I would highly recommend Bunkum.
