Stayed for 2 nights for an event. We were booked in quickly even though we were in a large group all requiring different rooms and lengths of stay. The room was lovely and clean, big fluffy towels in the bathroom. There was a kettle, iron and ironing board in the room. We booked breakfast for both mornings. There was so much choice, pastries, cereals, fresh ham, cheese all cooked items too. Fresh tea, coffee and toast was served by a waitress. It would be impossible to come out of the restaurant hungry. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. Centrally located and just 2 minutes from the train station. The only thing we found a little strange was that if you drank in the bar late you had to pay for your drinks at the reception or charge to your room.

This WOULD have been 5/5 if it were not for the disappointing leisure area in the basement. When first entering this hotel I was very impressed with the standard of decor etc and attentiveness of the staff. The reception, restaurant/bar areas were of high calibre, and when entering my room I was again very impressed with the cleanliness and modern facilities/set up. However, when I went down to the basement to use the leisure facilities I was shocked at the decline in standards. At first I thought I had left the hotel and entered the wrong place. It turned out that the hotel leisure suite was actually a Sports Direct gym/pool. I was told at the leisure reception that if I wanted a secure lockable locker I would have to buy a padlock for £4 (!), alarm bells were ringing in my head at this point. I expected more from a 4* Radission leisure facility. I decided to leave my valuables in my hotel room and return later. When entering the changing rooms I noticed the shower areas only offered soap - no shampoo/conditioner dispensers, again a bit of a let down from a 4* hotel. Also, the place looked like it need a good clean. The pool area wasn't the cleanest either, the sauna very small and there was no jacuzzi or steam room. Very basic. I would book this hotel again as the rooms and public spaces were great, but I would not return to the leisure suite.

Good Morning 783angiee, I wanted to thank you for staying with us recently at the hotel and for taking the time to leave feedback for us, as it gives us the opportunity to see where we excel and at the same time, where improvement is needed. I'm sorry to hear that your experience at the Sports Direct Leisure facilities wasn't the best, which I will certainly bring up with their team. As the facilities are not affliated with the hotel, we unfortunately do not make any decision making in regards to their operational duties, but nevertheless, I will ensure their management team are aware. Overall, I'm thrilled to see you had an overall wonderful experience at the hotel and we look forward to welcoming you back in the near future. Kind Regards, Radisson Blu Glasgow

I bought two tickets to the New Years's eve party held at the hotel. Prior to booking I needed to enquire if the hotel would be using latex balloons as my wife has a severe latex allergy. On enquiring in person at the front desk no one was available but my details were left. To their credit someone telephoned me within the hour to confirm that no latex balloons would be used during the event.
On arrival we quickly noticed two latex balloons on tables. We were able to speak to the duty manager Adrian who looked into the matter. It turned out that the hotel had purchased small silver party boxes for each table containing party materials such as balloons, streamers, tooters and party poppers. The boxes were removed balloons taken out and then returned to the tables so that guests could fully enjoy the evening.

Adrian apologised and offered to buy as both a drink which we declined as the balloon issue was attended to. It was a vey enjoyable evening and we did not need to worry about any allergy problems. The hotel staff were very helpful during the whole evening.

For people with latex allergies these issues are important and we would like to thank Adrian and the staff for their assisstance. Will have no problem attending this event next year .

The hotel is ideally situated in the heart of Glasgow, literally a stones throw from the main train station.

On arrival greeted in a friendly polite manner by reception. Checked in with ease and shown where everything was, bar, restaurant, lift area and direction of the shared gym.
We decided on the superior room which was nice clean and quite spacious.

We had a knock on the door when we where in our room, reception staff with a welcome to our hotel card, very nice touch.

Breakfast in the morning was very enjoyable, greeted in the usual friendly manner and shown where everything was. Thoroughly enjoyed my breakfast everything seemed fresh and clean with my food very tasty, yet the staff again very attentive.
The hotel seemed very clean and fresh with the staff a real credit polite helpful and friendly.

I paid for a superior room so why didn't i have a nespresso machine like other superior rooms?? Window lock was broken in our room reported it to the reception, was told an engineer would come and look at it, yes engineer came wedged window closed but lock wasn't fixed. Fridge in room certainly didn't keep anything cold.

Other than that really enjoyed my stay and would certainly reccommend the Radisson Blu Glasgow.

Wee Anniversary overnight for myself and the wife(38 years,so no spring chickens here, lol) Wanted somewhere in the centre close to everything and this certainly ticked all my boxes being right in the buzz within only spitting distance from Glasgow Central train station.
On entry to the very modern bright and tastefully decorated reception was checked in by the wonderful Lee whose friendly smiling and helpful attitude ensured our stay would be off to a great start.
Room was modern, clean and spacious with all the facilities needed to make the most of our stay. Anything else required was simply a phone call away, and even though nothing else was needed, you genuinely felt that whatever it was would not be a problem.
After a great nights sleep we proceeded to our breakfast, and I have to say was the best I’ve ever had anywhere. The range and quality of the fare was totally astounding and my only disappointment was that I forgot to ask who their suppliers were.
It seems no expense is spared in their procurement department, and I do know my food!
Even if I didn’t stay over in the hotel,I’d make a point of going there for my first meal of the day.
Great value at any price.

I stayed on 10 August 2020, it was my 6th visit and I will never return. Check in is at 3pm and when I arrived at 3.55pm I had to wait for 15 minutes even to be spoken to by the only reception clerk working, who informed me my room was not yet ready at 4.10pm!!!. He gave me my key to a room on the 3rd floor although I had requested the top or a high floor, so my request was ignored! but told me the roll away bed was still to be put into the room.

It did appear some time later but the room was only made up for 2 people and there were 3 people staying in the room,ie 2 cups, 2 biscuits, 2 of everything really. This really is a pet hate of mine as its such a basic procedure and so very easy to get right, but so very annoying when its not right. Its a 4* hotel charging 4 * prices but although tea making facilities are included there were only paper cups, wooden stirrers and plastic tumblers supplied. Covid or not there is no excuse for pathetic cheap facilities such as this. I drink my tea/coffee out of proper crockery, it does not have to be china just a proper cup not paper, so no I did not enjoy a coffee in my room.

I had a coffee at breakfast which was fairly cold, not enjoyable either. The breakfast itself was quite good althought because of covid regualtions it was served rather than buffett style and there was no toast, really no toast with breakfast - unbelievable. Radisson you have let down a regular returning customer and for that reason I will never be back. I will now take my custom elsewhere, and will not recommend you to anyone

Good Morning IreneCee, I wanted to firstly thank you for taking the time to leave a review and feedback from your recent stay with us. It does give us the chance to look back and reflect on issues that we certainly could dealt with much better and help us improve moving forward. I can understand that during this unprecedented and challenging time that some issues may arise but I do apologise for this. Due to availability, sometimes we may not be able to action requests such as high floors due to various reasons, but you should have at least been told about this and apologised to us not being able to meet your request. In regards to paper cups and such in your room with your tea/coffee facilities, unfortunately this is something that the hotel has to adhere to in regards to the companies 20-step protocol in relation to COVID-19 and the health and safety of the hotel, for both guests and employees, set out by SGS - a company which deals with inspection and implementation of safety during this time. That being said, it definitely does change the dynamic of the room when having your usual morning tea/coffee which we do hope will change back to normal in the very near future. All of your comments are taken seriously and have been updated in your profile notes as we would love to have you back in the future. Your points wlll be fed back to each department for them to learn moving forward. I'm sure you were looking to have a relaxing time away after these challenging few months and once again, I do apologise that we did not live up to our standards that we do pride ourselves on. If you would like to discuss anything in further detail, please do not hesitate to contact us as we would like to keep you as a returning guest. Kind regards, Radisson Blu Glasgow

Stayed at this hotel for a city break with my partner. Check in at 3pm was quite late in comparison to other hotels we have stayed in in Glasgow which led to a huge queue snaking all around reception and outside the door. After waiting 30 mins plus we weren’t really interested in small talk with the reception staff and would have preferred more efficiency.

The room was ok, quite tired and outdated but functional. Not filthy but not particularly clean either; with the amount of dust on the bedside tables they can’t have been sanitised that day! Basic kettle, TV and bathroom. Bed was large and comfortable. There wasn’t any wow factor we would have expected from a 4* hotel.

No doubt due to the new 10pm curfew the hotel was very noisy with a party going on above us until 2am. When we called reception the noise did settle down within 30 minutes or so and we heard security intervening. Perhaps naively, due to the cost of the room (definitely not the cheapest option) we hadn’t anticipated guest noise being an issue and this really put a downer on the trip as we certainly didn’t leave feeling refreshed.

Overall we were really expecting more from this hotel. The new Ibis styles are cheaper, include breakfast and are much nicer.

Good Morning, Thank you for staying with us recently at the hotel and taking time to leave feedback from your recent experience. I am really sorry to see that your stay was not up to our usual standards and for that I do apologise. Although check-in is guaranteed at 3pm, we always welcome guests to come in early and we try our best to accomodate an early check-in or at least hold bags so you can enjoy your afternoon. Although it is more challenging when a large majority of guests come to check-in at the same time, we do try our best to ensure the best service is given to each guest checking in but I will ensure that these points are brought up with the team moving forward. Furthermore, please accept my apologies regarding the aspects of your room that could have been better, again, this will be brought to the attention of our Executive Housekeeper to look into. Unfortunately with the new curfew being put into place it will indeed cause guests to try and enjoy what time they have away in their hotel room but I do apologise for the disruption that you had, which I'm glad to hear that security were able to sort. We really hope that this doesn't deter you from staying again in the future and if you need anything else, please don't hesitate to let us know. Kind Regards, Radisson Blu Glasgow

Really good attentive , friendly staff, we stopped in to leave our luggage early morning and were offered coffee and pastries and a chance to get ourselves together after the train journey. Much consideration was given to what would be the best room for my sister in a wheelchair. Enormous bed, very comfortable, complimentary drinks vouchers, Loads of big towels with more offered each evening. Magnificent breakfast . Most sensible lift system I have come across. The location is also great, about 75m from the lift from Glasgow Central to Hope St, Bus stop right outside for the tour bus, walking distance of shops. The only let down was that despite having a disabled changing room, the swimming pool was not accessible

Stayed for two nights , disappointed to find breakfast not included , however in-house restaurant wasn’t even open and breakfast was as an overpriced grab bag of rubbish ! Staff are very friendly and polite . The room was spacious and looked fairly modern, however if you look closely the furniture is very tired and in need of sprucing up. Curtains were filthy !! The room wasn’t cleaned as hotel say they don’t want any cross contamination throughout your stay , fare enough but have they lowered their prices to reflect this ? Had to go in search of a t bag on day 2 to have a cuppa when I woke up . Location is great just near the station . I wouldn’t return to this hotel in its current state. Although maybe as just reopening they are just getting used to receiving guest again , but lots of work is needed to spruce up the room!

We truly value feedback as this allows us to see where we are getting things right and, just as importantly, what we need to learn from. You are perfectly correct to expect a high standard of service and product when staying at anyone of our hotels, and I am truly sorry that on this occasion we did not seem to meet your expectations. Please be assured that your feedback has been passed on to the management team here for review so that we are able to see where improvements can be made. This is the first poor review I have ever written!

Having spent two weeks travelling the highlands in small hotels and apartments, this was by far the worst experience especially in terms of value for money. £197 for one (Saturday) night for the both of us. Service at the desk was very good, but that was only to give the allusion of opulence and comfort.

In the room we were treated to two plastic bottles of water and told on label covering it that this was complimentary because we were members (Oh, I forgot to mention that I had to become a member to allow me a discount down to the £197). We were given one bath towel. And so had to phone for another. There were two pillows in total for the two of us (Hotels normally provide two per person). The racket from the air conditioning was terrible and we couldn't switch it off. I like to sleep with a window open, but the noise from a generator or something outside was far too loud so had to close it. The shower was terrible, couldn't get the right heat and it kept alternating between a trickle and whatever the word for slightly more than a trickle is.

The hotel is made give the appearance of being swish, but everything is designed to maximise profits for the shareholders. All of the hotels we had stayed in previously were far superior and included amazing breakfasts (God knows how much this hotel charges for a breakfast) and the most expensive of these hotels was £160. All the others were around £120). I know it's in a central location, but the amount of floors and and rooms packed in no doubt compensate for the additional land rates they have to pay.

In short, support small independent hotels, before they vanish. Like almost every other aspect of society, things are becoming bland, corporate, false and really poor value for money.

Yes it it, the pool is accessed via an internal lift from the rooms, the lift brings you down to a corridor on the -1 that leads to the Gym/Pool next door in the PureGym facility, you get changed at the pool rather than in your hotel room. pool is a decent standard pool, a bit on the cold side but still enjoyable, it has a Sauna but no Jacuzzi. it doesn't have a shallow end for kids so bring arm rings for your little ones.

Hotel reception will give you a code to use at the multi-storey behind the hotel. I made a mess of it and ended up paying full price so take your time and get the proper instructions first. You pay after you leave not before.

You will find photos of it on their website. They have a picture of it on one of the front windows of the hotel, so I am sure you will be able to find photos online. Hope this helps.
