Went here for Afternoon Tea in the Conservatory. Booked in advance but no table was reserved for us. However a table was made up for us in a separate bit of the Conservatory. Given that it was an especially hot day when we were there, there was no window to open for air and no fan or air-conditioning. After quickly...

A large hotel with a great location on George Square, centrally located. I just love the look of this grand place. Staff were attentive to all of our needs. We would absolutely stay here again in the future. 4.5 stars

i had booked this hotel via bookings.com and the booking was a non refundable booking. Unfortunately due to personal circumstances I needed to cancel and contacted the hotel directly to see if they could consider my position with a view to receiving a refund. They were amazing and agreed to a full refund! Amazing customer service which should be commended!...

Check-in was good, that's it for the good stuff. The lift (only one as the other was out of order) was built in the 1800's probably, and is slower and more rickety then any lift I've ever been in. The room, whilst comfortable, was a bit tired to say the least. Definitely in need of some TLC. The bar, not...

As soon as we walked in what became clear was the wrong door we were greeted by a friendly, smiling member of staff who pointed us in the right direction. Reception was a little busy and an extra staff member might have helped, but nothing drastic really. The general decor is standard chain hotel bland, but it's not offensive, and...

We did not stay here but had a meal in the lounge bar. Unfortunately a poorly trained waiter managed to tip a tray with two full glasses of red wine over my wife. The young manager was apologetic and offered us a free meal in the future. I would never return here unless they had properly trained their waiting staff...
