The hosts were absolutely amazing. Eric and Leslie received our weary, traveling family with grace. Great dinner recommendation and even joined us for a pint while we watched a match at a local restaurant. The location is wonderful and quiet and the accommodations were a great value for the money. Breakfast was perfect and we leave feeling not only satisfied with our stay, but also like we have friends in Glasgow. Highly recommended and we would stay here again without question.
Really warm welcome from the moment we knocked the door! We were a bit early but I thought I'd knock and see if we could come in, Eric was wonderful, let us come in and get sorted out. Showed us the room and all the things we needed to know, heating, WiFi etc. He was so helpful, as soon as we said we were heading into town for dinner he told us about the easiest way to travel and it worked out great! When we got in from our gig on the evening he was there to wish us a goodnight and was so lovely Had already told him that we'd have breakfast around 9 and when we came downstairs ( slightly hungover) breakfast was lovely.. really good coffee, lovely fresh juice. Fruit was offered but honestly just wanted the full breakfast, it was cooked fresh to order and was so tasty, (the eggs were cooked just right too!!) Eric and his wife were so kind and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay here. I think if I had to say one thing I would of liked that would be a mirror to do my make up in but that's me being really fussy as there were 4 mirrors in the room just not one to sit at 😀 Apart from that, location, room, decor, heat of room, breakfast and hosts were all wonderful and I will definitely go there again if I go to Glasgow! I will say, we were going to the Barrowlands ballroom which is why this was a good location for us.…
We were fortunate to make a very late booking here after a mix up with another booking left us potentially with nowhere to stay. On arrival we found a nicely presented house in a quiet area with good facilities and a friendly welcome. A comfortable nights sleep was followed by a well prepared delicious breakfast with lots of options. We will go again when in that area.
Eric and Lesley are lovely hosts and nothing is too much trouble. The house is lovely and characterful and overlooks a pretty green space. Everything is spotless and its location is perfect in easy walking distance of the city. Lesley cooked a very tasty breakfast and Eric served. We would recommend Seton Lodge very much and will have no hesitation returning. Thank you very much.
Really enjoyed our stay at Seton Guest House. Eric and Lesley made us very welcome and were able to recommend good local restaurants etc. The hotel is just 30 minutes walk into the city centre, and has excellent public transport links too. Rooms were clean and comfortable and breakfast was excellent. There is on street parking just outside with everything you would expect to make your stay comfortable. The hotel overlooks a small private park on a quiet street. We would definitely stay again when visiting the East End of Glasgow. Thank you for your warm welcome.
Excellent place to stay in Glasgow. Really friendly owners who did everything they could to help make our stay as comfortable as possible. The room was really clean and comfortable, the breakfast was one of the best we’ve had anywhere. The location is very central, and only about 30 minutes walk into the city centre.
We stayed in the twin room for a couple of nights while in Glasgow. The guest house was in a perfect location short walk from both the lovely town centre and the burrowland concert venue. Contact from the moment of booking was outstanding We requested an early check I'm and got an instant reply to our request. When we arrived we had free accessible parking next to the guest house and we were greeted with a warm welcome. The guest house and surrounding street was beautiful. We were informed about the area and showed to our room which was fantastic. It really shows how much work is put into this guest house for a lovely stay as the room had all the tiny thoughtful details such as soap collections tissues and a tray of refreshments for us to enjoy. The WiFi was great, the beds were very comftable with a lovely onsuite bathroom and we had a really nice mirror. We had breakfast in the morning a bowl of fruit followed by a traditional delicious Scottish breakfast served in the front room of the guest house. This room like the rest of our stay was welcoming and comftable. We had a really lovely time here at the seton guest house and will be visiting again next time we can make it back to Glasgow. Thank you Seton Guest House…
As this was the last leg of our trip we had been driving for a while when we got to the guest house, we were travelling with a baby and he needed changing. We were far too early to check in but I knocked to see if they minded if we just came in to change the baby. I was greeted by a very friendly gentleman that checked with his wife and said our room was ready so he would just check us in. The room was lovely and clean nicely done and had a nice view of the garden which we were told we could use if we wanted which was great. The location is really handy for getting into Glasgow plenty of choice for food etc. The lovely couple who owns the guest house were so helpful explained which buses we could get and suggested baby friendly things we could do. We stayed for 3 nights and the breakfast was lovely everyday they went out of their way to make sure we were happy and that the baby had plenty to eat. Overall we had a lovely stay and if we are ever there again we would definitely stay again thankyou for a lovely few days.…
Well what a gem Seton Guest House is. Stayed here for two nights in August en route to Argyle in this fabulous period property. Really lovely and welcoming hosts, very comfortable accommodation for a family of four and a great Scottish breakfast. Highly recommend and looking forward to returning one day. With plenty of free parking available around Seton House leave the car behind and catch the frequent and fast buses from around the corner straight into Glasgow city centre.
The hosts were friendly and welcoming, and the facilities could not be faulted. Our twin room was just the right size and had the benefit of being extremely quiet so we had a great sleep on the very comfortable beds. Far better value than any budget hotel
