The hotel had everything we needed for our comfortable and very clean overnight stay in Glasgow, from the informative welcome to the very adequate breakfast, both courteously seen to by the proprietors in person. It is located within easy walking distance of too many interesting Glasgow features to list, but treat yourself to a visit to the Hidden Lane & Tearoom.

When we received our invitation to a family wedding we opted for an overnight stay in Glasgow . We contacted our first choice accommodation in Glasgow having stayed there on many occasions a comfortable choice . We were so disappointed to be told there was no availability as the wedding clashed with the start of COP 26 in Glasgow and rooms were at a premium so we would have great difficulty in finding something. After phoning all the popular choices with no luck we reverted to booking sites again not much luck . We found the Sandyford Lodge first thoughts why is this not full didn't fill us with much hope so we read a few reviews and were surprised by how good the reviews were , ok give it a try it's only for one night . After booking we were so surprised at how reasonable the prices were again a question mark . I have mobility problems so I thought give them a phone and see if they could accommodate my needs . The lady I spoke to at the Sandyford couldn't have been more helpful arranged a ground floor room enquired if I would be able to use the breakfast room as it was located in the basement when I said I would try to manage she told me no if it would cause me any discomfort she would arrange room service . I think the ladies name was Marie ? she asked why we were having the stay when I told her about the wedding she arranged for us to have not only an earlier check in but also a late check out at no extra charge something we had never been offered at our regular accommodation . The day of the wedding arrived we were greeted like old friends trouble free check in all our requirements were saved on the computer so no need to explain anything . When we opened the door to the room we were pleasantly surprised a beautiful bright room , well furnished and very clean . One of the usual benchmarks is how clean the toilet is 10/10 . A great day at the wedding ,party over back to the hotel . After a great nights sleep I managed to go down to the breakfast room even though it was in the basement it was bright and comfortable well spaced tables and again very clean . The staff were attentive and so friendly we went for the full Scottish breakfast good quality products well cooked but a special mention must be made for the tottie scones couldn't have did better myself . When we checked out the owner was at reception and was very pleasant and thanked us for our business which is a very personal touch . We now have a new first choice for staying in Glasgow thank you all

Stayed here for four nights. Booked a double room, requested a light and airy room, preferably on the ground floor and at the back of the building. Requests fully met. Had a large high ceiling room, very clean and comfortable. Location is excellent. All staff were friendly and pleasant. I really enjoyed the cooked breakfast every morning. In terms of value for money in a city hotel bearing in mind the location, well I wish had found this place before. Have had many short breaks in Glasgow over the years but have to say that in terms of value for money, this is the best. Another bonus was the parking. Don’t know whether I was just lucky but managed to find a spot right outside the hotel and at £4 per day, well what can I say. On account of the location didn’t need to drive anywhere anyway. So if you want a good and reasonably priced hotel in a brilliant location you will be hard pressed to find a better one than the Sandyford Lodge.

Good location, close to city center, one minute walk to bus stop, many restaurants around and convenient stores are nearby. Room is clean and comfy, good Scottish breakfast, staffs are friendly and helpful. I had twin room and the size is good enough for two people. No USB charger, shampoo and conditioner so you have to bring your own.
