A good value budget hotel, with clean and simple but pleasant rooms. The location is trendy, with the lively 'West End/Byres Road' attractions all within a 10 minute walk, and Kelvingrove Park also nearby. Free parking (though limited to ~6 cars and not bookable) was great for a relatively central location, and the city center is walkable for many (20-40...

The only negative, so to say, is that the hotel is a bit away from the city centre, though located right opposite a bus stop, and not far from a metro station. The neighbourhood of the hotel is a bit of a sketchy, quiet road with several palatial-looking buildings, mostly old hotels like this one. Now to the many positives....

A good clean budget hotel. We were impressed by the cleanliness of our room, probably one of the cleanest we have stayed in. Ideal location for the West End shops and bars. Booked up again for April for an event at the Hydro, would and have recommended to anyone.

Lovely, welcoming, approachable staff but the whole hotel needs updated. Quite dated décor. Rooms were quiet at night and the bed was comfortable. TV was good quality and have plenty of channels to choose from. Overall, the rooms were spotless, couldn't fault cleanliness. However, breakfast was awful, a choice of continental- tinned fruit and cheap yogurt- or full cooked- greasy,...

£40 for a one night stay in a clean room with free parking and a low quality breakfast is called good value for money and that's why i rate this place with a 4 out of 5. Location is a bit far from the centre of Glasgow but only a 10 minute ride

I have stayed here quite a few times and it never disappoints. The rooms are very clean and comfy. Someone on reception all the time and every one polite and helpful. Breakfast is great, big choice of cereals and fruit as well as the full Scottish or any cooked breakfast you want. Great location too so no bother getting around.

The family had two rooms next to each other, the rooms were spotless and many original features had been retained which was lovely. The staff, both at Reception and at breakfast could not have been nicer. Breakfast was beautifully cooked, there was a good choice of cooked or continental breakfast, tea, coffee or fruit juice. We all enjoyed our stay...
