Annual pilgrimage to transatlantic sessions in the concert hall. 7th or 8th year we have stayed at this hotel and will return next year. Very friendly greeting on arrival from a nice young lady from Dumfries, our home town!!! The room was very clean and tidy. Air con was a bit noisy but otherwise no other adverse comments about this...

I had to change rooms twice having experienced various problems with no hot water, windows that wouldn't close, noise from external vents and other sources, but the staff were in the main very friendly. Breakfast was great and the hotel is in a good location.

This is a lovely quirky hotel. Staff are lovely and friendly but..... I stayed here for one night and at check in I asked if they had a room service menu and they said of course there was a menu in each room. Couple of hours later I rang down to order food to be told that they were only...

Stayed here with a work colleague for a training course . Staff were very friendly rooms were lovely very warm and cosy. Hotel had issues with the kitchen but they made a reservation at the local Italian resturant which was complimentary which was brilliant of them and also catered to dietary requirements. We will be returning soon .

Decided to stay here for the night as we were down for an event. Upgraded to a 'Enviable Room' which was very nice! The room and friendliness of staff was top quality. The only problem was we ordered room service which took about an hour to come and when it finally got to the room our pizzas were burnt and...

Booked a basic double room which was small but pleasantly decorated, clean and nice and warm. Staff exceptionally nice and helpful. Ideally located for enjoying the cities nightlife and shopping. Good value.

This was my first stay and I would definitely stay again. Within an easy walk uphill from both stations, this hotel was close to shops, bars and restaurants. There is also a Q park across the street. Check in was friendly and efficient and the room allocated was excellent with a comfortable bed and large sitting area. The bathroom was...

We had an overnight stay on the 16th of January. On arrival at 2pm we were informed our room wasn't ready, however, our wait wouldn't be long. We went through to the bar area for a drink. Straight away we were hit with an overwhelming smell of Chinese food. Not enjoyable in the slightest. After 45mins my partner asked when...

Stayed on business for one night. Quick reception. Rooms are all different shapes and sizes from past experience. Good power shower over bath. Comfy bed and had a good nights sleep though on the ground floor be prepared for a low hum from the air con unit from outside. Continental breakfast is routine though the cooked is ordered from the...
