The hotel is perfectly located by St George’s Square. The 500 bus from the airport drops off directly in front, and there are many good restaurants in the immediate area. The rooms are a bit dated but immaculate and comfortable. The front desk staff is amazing - very friendly and helpful. They let us leave our bags as we got in early and checked us in as soon as a room became available - well before check in. We would defiantly return!
Excellent staff, service and value for money. Will definitely be back, recommend it for a wee city break gives you a nice feel good feeling that sets you up for whatever you have planned. Made my Xmas shopping a lot more enjoyable.
Small central hotel with large rooms and comfortable beds. Enjoyed 3 night break here on b & b basis. Breakfast choice very good. Also ate dinner a couple of times - steak excellent. Enjoyed the executive lounge and also the room mini bar and snacks. What really stood out were the fantastic friendly staff who were so helpful and nothing seemed to phase them. Definitely recommend.
Just had a lovely afternoon tea with my daughter. Lovely food in a lovely tea room and helpful friendly staff who go out of their way to ensure they are providing great customer service. Great value for money will definitely be back.
I really liked this hotel, it’s not a modern hotel but it’s got everything you need, the rooms are large, clean and comfortable, depending on which package you pay for your mini bar is complimentary and you get access to the executive lounge on the 7th floor where you’re waitered service drinks are included in the price of your room, that’s correct a free bar in very relaxed and comfortable surroundings. Really good staff who can’t do enough for you and the breakfast was good as well. It’s a 1 minute walk from Glasgow Queen street station in 1 direction and 1 minute from the Glasgow subway in the other, all the City centre bars and restaurants are within 10 minutes stroll and is right in the city ideal for exploring I will definitely use this hotel again
Stayed Sun- Mon on a dinner bed and breakfast deal with 3 girl pals to celebrate 60th birthday. Hotel decor is a bit tired but spotless. Food and service were excellent - far better than we expected to be honest ❤. Would highly recommend to anyone and we'll definitely return 😊
The afternoon tea was lovely, fresh and a good selection but unfortunately a couple of issues and slow service let the restaurant down today. We were greeted warmly and offered drinks(my pregnant daughter was offered a a mock tail which was a nice touch). Our drinks took ages to arrive and it was a while after that the afternoon tea arrived. We weren’t offered tea at all which was strange as it was an afternoon Tea. I noticed that other tables that came in after us had been given tea. Time went on so I asked for a pot , 15 mins later and still no tea so agin I had to ask and it eventually arrived. A little while later I asked for the bill, again 15 minutes later and no bill. The party on the table beside us asked for their bill and the same waitress brought theirs and ours within a couple of minutes. ( theirs got given first) I was then very disappointed to see the mocktail has been charged at the same price as the cocktail of the same name( £10 for fruit juice) This was amended but embarrassing. It was all a bit strange as all other tables were asked if everything was ok etc throughout the lunch but we were ignored. So just a few issues sadly.…
My partner and I enjoyed our 2 night stay in this hotel which we used as a comfortable base to explore all that Glasgow has to offer. The hotel is conveniently located in the heart of the historic part of the city. We enjoyed our visit from the very beginning with helpful and informative communication outlying where to park our car and upon checkin too. The bed was large and comfortable as was the bathroom. The hotel complimentary mini bar which includes gin, vodka, whisky as well as a mini bar with beer, wines, soft drinks and mixers- all greatly appreciated and ensued during our stay. We would absolutely recommend.
I’ve stayed at this hotel a few times, always a fabulous stay, staff are wonderful and nothing is a bother, food is great in the Windows restaurant on the 7th floor, it won’t be long before I’m back, wouldn’t think of staying anywhere else, location is perfect
The hotel was fine, location very good, room and service could not be faulted. The Windows restaurant for an evening meal is of a mediocre standard for food quality and variety. I ordered the pork terrine, no taste, it lacked a chutney or similar to go with the dish. I then had Thai green curry with chicken, but the chef had forgotten the chicken, so back it went for the chicken. By the time the complete dish arrive my wife had eaten half her meal of fish and chips The fish being of the frozen variety and not fresh.
