Nice hotel in a great location near to George square. Hotel was very clean, staff were friendly and helpful. Disabled parking on the opposite side of the street which was great. We had been sent to this hotel after being moved from another hotel that was overbooked but was not disappointed

I have been stopping at the Mercure for almost thirty years and have always enjoyed my stay. It is the venue for an Association that I am a member of and we have been going there since 1923. This years reunion was particularly good. The staff are friendly and professional. The food absolutely first class. The lengths that the hotel go to to help residents and visitors to enjoy their stay/visit exceeds anything one might expect. I have no hesitation in recommending the Mercure and have already booked my next visit.

I've spent many a night in Glasgow and alway try to stop somewhere different each time. This time I thought I'd try the Mecure. Let's get straight to the issues Firstly the toilet was leaking so once it was reported after breakfast we went into town. We returned about 2 hours later to find the water on the floor gone, great I thought they've fixed it so I then sat down and started to use the toilet. Once finished I went to flush only to find no water in the bowl as they'd drained it to fix the inside yet didn't leave a not or anything saying not to use it!!! Next the taps were coming apart and when I reported they just took the top of the taps off and threw them in the bin!! There was no towel rail to hang your towels up after you'd used them so I was forced to use the washing line in the bath. Not ideally especially if your partner wants a bath. Even though we booked a privilege room it was so small and as there's no air-con it was unbearably hot. They did provide a massive fan but it didn't actually do anything so we went out and bought our fan. Breakfast was good although the Eggs Balmoral is only served during week but I've no idea why? Before the hotel comments on this post I do want to point out that I did complain about these problems during my stay but nothing was done other than the toilet. I've no ideas if all the rooms are same or the was no space to move me but I didn't even get an apology . I paid £844 for 4 nights and the only good thing that came out of this stay was my HOTELS.COM Points if you're your looking at this hotel for a stay in Glasgow I would say keep looking or go to the Jury's Inn

Dear W4rmy We sincerely apologise for the disappointing experience you had during your recent stay at our hotel. Your feedback is extremely valuable to us, and we deeply regret that we fell short of your expectations. The issues you encountered with the leaking toilet, broken taps, and the lack of communication about the toilet repair are certainly unacceptable, and we understand your frustration. We will investigate these matters thoroughly with our maintenance and housekeeping teams to ensure such oversights do not occur in the future. We also apologise for the room size and the discomfort you experienced due to the lack of air conditioning. We are continuously working to improve our facilities and amenities, and we appreciate your feedback regarding this. Regarding your complaint during your stay, we are truly sorry that your concerns were not addressed to your satisfaction. This does not reflect the level of service we strive to provide, and we will use your feedback to improve our internal communication and issue resolution processes. To address your concerns more thoroughly, we kindly request that you reach out to me directly at the hotel by calling. We look forward to discussing this further with you and working towards a resolution. Thank you for your understanding.

The service we received from the staff was great, very friendly. A big thank you to Gabriel for all his help and service during lunch. Efficient and well situated hotel. Very central so very convenient to get around. Good check in with pleasant staff. Room was small but perfectly fine for one night. Bathroom in particular was spotless. The breakfast was good value at 2 for the price of one but the cooked breakfast was just ok, nothing special but ok for the price.

Now where do I begin. From the minute I made the inquiry about arranging my mum and dad surprise 40th wedding anniversary party. The attention I have received and communication from them has been out of this world. Amazing service. They helped me organise everything and Kirsty from the events team answered any questions I had. First class. On the day of the party the receptionist was very helpful to me and the guests I had invited and all staff went along with my surprise plan. During the event staff where friendly and nothing was a bother. All involved with the night where truly amazing and thanks for everything it was appreciated. Thanks again Peter
