Stayed here for 3 nights in July 2016. This is our favourite chain of hotels, though having stayed at every Hotel du Vin bar one in the south of England, we're not quite so familiar with Malmaison, having only visited a couple previously. My husband had just started a new job in Glasgow, so I flew up to spend the... More

We celebrated my wife's 50th birthday in one of the function rooms, and latterly the bar, on Saturday night, and we couldn't have been happier. From the moment we booked it, the service Graham, Charlotte and the rest of the team provided was exemplary. We literally had to worry about nothing other than enjoying ourselves. We had friends join us... More

We were overcharged for a 2 night stay by around £30, since refunded. There are no lifts to the first floor and were driven mad by the squeaky floorboards. Not quite up to the usual Mal standards and disappointing.

Just returned from a stay in this lovely hotel, have stayed in a number of the chains other hotels and its a very similar vibe in them all. Cant fault the hotel itself, I read many of the reviews were complaining about dark rooms, dirty etc. The colour scheme I feel makes the Malmaison its own. We didn't pre book... More

We booked a night in one of the upgraded rooms with the breakfast and dinner package. It was a night away during the half term, leaving our boys with the in laws. Expectations were high as the website sold the room with glamorous pictures and the attached restaurant looked great. What we got was something that was okay. At £350... More

This was our first visit to the hotel in a good few years and we were pleasantly suprised at it's new look - modern, funky and friendly. We had hired out the private room for my wife's retirement celebration and had a fantastic time. The organising of the day was made seamless by Charlotte the Events organiser and on the... More

Overnight stay with private dining room. Tiny bedroom. Tired decor with chipped paint/ dirty grouting on tiles in bathroom. Rubbish lighting in rooms. Disgusting food. Cremated cod. Christmas dinner with no vegetables. A bowl of mustard offered as 'bread sauce'. Pathetic breakfast. 'Continental' breakfast- stale croissants, cereal and yoghurt- nothing else. Soulless. Overpriced. And as I write this cleaning staff... More

Friendly welcome on check in, the room was great and the amenities excellent. The only niggle was the food in the bar. The fries were cold when they came to the table and the food for a party of four arrived at different times. A minor bump in an otherwise excellent stay.

I've stayed here on numerous occasions and have always enjoyed my visit. It's a lovely building with a really nice restaurant. The rooms in the older part of the building are the nicest and have the most character but all are comfortable, good sizes and have nice bathrooms. Staff are always helpful and friendly. Highly recommended.

Just back from a wonderful stay at the Malmaison Hotel in Glasgow. We felt thoroughly spoiled from the warm greeting when we arrived, to the beautiful cosy room, comfortable bed, lovely bedding, great bathroom, flat screen TV, complimentary toiletries and hospitality tray, to the wonderful complimentary cocktails in the bar (we booked a special deal which was amazing value). The... More
