Decided to stay here following attending an event in Glasgow. Staff were attentive and extremely helpful. Room was one of the smaller ones but it had everything we required and was very comfortable. Atmosphere in the bar at night was pleasant and our breakfast in the morning was everything we could have asked for. All in all it was a...

Great experience visiting a famous local institution. The row of interconnected 19th century town houses from Glasgow's heyday as second city of the empire provide a unique location for a great hotel. The architecture has to be seen to be believed with magnificent interiors, ceilings, stained glass, staircases and many other architectural delights The room was very comfortable with a...

Weird setup as there's no one big room. Felt more like a house party. Main room with dance floor is tiny and the ambience of the event wasn't really there. Poorly stocked bar for soft drinks (coke, lemonade or fruit juice). Bar seemed like an after thought too in that part of the building. And then they had the brass...

The good points - the hotel is in a really good location, near to transport links and lots of bars and restaurants and the staff were friendly and helpful. The not so good - our room was very dark and badly in need of a refurbishment and the food was so-so, breakfast was ok but the portions were on the...

We stayed overnight before attending an early hospital appointment the following morning. We were in a Classic Room which was lovely - very nicely decorated and big in size. Bathroom was lovely with a roll top bath. Gutted that I was unable to use it due to still recovering from a recent surgery! The main problem that we had was...

We stayed here when visiting Glasgow for the c2c festival. The staff were absolutely awesome sorting us taxis and advising on places to visit during the day. The hotel is lovely, and the breakfast, and room service we ordered was excellent!

I have had excellent lunches and dinners and attended a wedding at One Devonside Gardens (also known as Hotel Du Vin) in the past so when I was invited to an Afternoon Tea, I was a willing attendee. The hotel was forewarned that I was vegetarian – and despite arriving slightly early, we were escorted immediately to our table and...
