Stayed for a weekend visit and was very impressed by the room. I was at first dubious about paying extra for the superior room but I definitely recommend spending the extra. We had breakfast delivered to our room, which was excellent and on time. After reading reviews I was

My daughter and I were there recently for afternoon tea at the Champagne Bar. I can not fault it in any way. The food was lovely. We had sandwiches scones and cakes. All very nice. Staff were all helpful and friendly. Highly recommended. We will definitely be back

This hotel is very central and has a big (rather cramped NCP) car park next door with 50% off if you get the hotel to beep your ticket at reception. The rooms are large and have big bathrooms. The old grandeur extends to the atmospheric bar overlooking the platforms. My only

I've stayed here a few times, this visit was poorer than previously, hence the update. It's still an interesting old building and all staff were friendly and helpful. Check in was fairly quick after the queue died down. Started to go downhill when I got to the room. This time

Yes I saw quite a lot of tables set up for afternoon tea. The food looked good and plenty of choice but as I never had afternoon tea I can't really say much more. Best to check timings direct with the hotel.

Is there a gym /fitness room
I don't think it does; it's a city centre hotel and I know that doesn't preclude fitness rooms but the hotel offers other charms! There is bound to be gyms nearby and I suspect the hotel may have reciprocal arrangements. I suggest an email to the hotel directly asking that question. If you're a runner, and don't mind pounding the pavements, you are in an ideal location to see some fabulous Glasgow architecture as you run!

I think the higher the floor the quieter the sleep - I overlooked the station and didn't have any problems

"Avoid staying!"
"If possible ask for a newly refurbished room when booking."
"All rooms are spacious. Junior suites and luxury suites are excellent value."
"Travelers from the US need to know that many hotels abroad do not provide face cloths."
"We had a lower floor overlooking the station, noise was not a problem, being in the middle of the city, do not expect scenic views,"
