Being fairly local and knowing this hotel has a good reputation I booked in just to have a relaxing night away from home. I was only in the room for about half an hour when the internet went down, leaving me unable to watch TV, use chromecast, use most of the lights in the room, adjust the temperature, or control one set of blinds. Thankfully I was able to find switches for the sink lights and one set of blinds (though you had to press these several times for them to actually do anything...). I went down to reception to be told there was nothing that could be done, so I couldn't do much else but go back up to the room and watch youtube videos on my phone more or less in the dark. The room was too warm and there was no way to adjust the temperature without using the iPad (which had been rendered useless by the internet outage). Even the TV had a block on it stopping me from mirroring my phone to it to watch something on the larger screen. It didn't help when I got woken up by other guests having a drunken argument at about half 2, and I never got back to sleep until well after 4. All in all the experience was a disappointment. I would say however though that the room was spotless, the bed was very comfy and the staff were polite, even if they couldn't actually help. Please consider not making the rooms so iPad-reliant. My stay was not worth the money.

Really decent city centre hotel. Great location. Room is small but has everything needed for a peaceful night. Really good shower. Really comfy bed. The blinds are noisy and there’s a lack of desk space. Staff all friendly. Check in was quick as was check out.

Super smart hotel with very modern touches, personally liked the iPad controls for the lights and blinds. Hotel is immaculately clean and the room was stylish and very comfortable. Hotel is one minute walk from sauchihall street so perfect location for shopping and some real good bars and restaurants nearby

Style over substance! This is a gimmick of a ‘hotel’. It reminds me of the old Kit-Kat advert; you look good, you can’t sing, but you will go along way! I think it is unfair to call it a hotel, maybe a box full of ‘prison cells’ may be a more adequate term. My partner had booked this for two nights of which by day two we both felt like we had cabin fever, definitely not for the faint hearted. This is a one night, one person per room place, not sure what the hotel chain are trying to achieve, but give me Faulty Towers any day, at least Basil would have provided a room and not a broom cupboard! The decor is quirky I will give it that, but it is not a relaxing place to stay, that’s for sure. The service in the bar on our first night was shambolic, not a smile, no warmth and unless you could download the ‘menu app’, which took 20 minutes to do just to see a menu, then you have risk of starving! Save your cash folks, spend the same money around the corner at the famous ‘ inn’ chain and upgrade to the premium rooms for the same price, at least you get a cuppa in your room and a fridge! CitizenM really is a joke it should be called Cell Block! Be warned if you are not a techie you will not survive one night here! Give me a real hotel any day! Thanks but unfortunately, no thanks Glasgow has far better offerings up it’s sleeve!

Weekend away, which was sadly very disappointing stay at this hotel. Self check in - didn't work, what is the point .....room was very disappointing, very small and claustrophobic, lay out of bed awkward - meant that you had to climb over each other to get out of bed! Uncomfortable too. No tea and coffee making facility which is disappointing- not ideal - not even a bottle of water in the room. Room was extremely small, Insufficient space to hang clothes, and not enough hooks . Shower and toilet were located in a pod which didn't provide much Privacy - basin was outside of the pod in the bedroom and very small. You didn't feel as if it was a relaxing experience staying there as there was insufficient space in the room, TV didn't work well at all with not many channels, lighting controlled by an ipad and couldn't put a light on during the night without messing around with ipad. Felt as if the hotel was aiming at business people as opposed to a wider selection of guests. Breakfast was fine first day....second not all hot dishes available at the same time. It definitely was not value for money .....nor would I recommend to anyone else. The only plus point was the staff were helpful...ie telling you how to operate the technology! Left with sad faces.........and large hole in our pocket......

Hi rovertandyak, Thank you for reviewing your stay with us here at citizenM Glasgow. I am sorry to read that we have not met the standards that you require in a hotel and also sorry to read about your second day breakfast experience. I will feed this back to our f&b tea, In terms of our concept, we do not in any way hide how our rooms are laid out and are really proud of what we offer our guests in terms of an XL bed waterfall shower. We also feel that the standard tea/coffee room setup in most hotels can be better enjoyed with a barista style coffee, a premium sourced tea instead of having to use the obligatory UHT milk on offer. We know we may not be for everyone and that is absolutely fine. We thank you for giving us a chance this time. Thanks Paddy Assistant Hotel Manager

Excellent from start to finish. With self checkin and out. Bed super comfy and air con. Ipad love it as hotel room are only controlled by ipad or citizenm app but ipad needs protection case and from time to time ipad screen cover needs changing as scratch marks and be felt. TV needs better/more channels beware 4HD breaks TV/can't change channels and needs turning off and on but chrome cast does work when it wants but. I be back for my 3rd stay. Ps after checkin 2pm eg if you are on route to hotel, you can select from accessible floor to car park to skyline floors with good views and check out can be done via app in or out hotel before 11M which is good.

Stayed here nov 10-12 2023. The ambassadors are brilliant. I didn’t get the names of the two but I did describe them on citizen m’s internal guest survey Location was good, just a few mins walk from Queen st station. Unless you know already, it’s quite hard to notice the hotel as there’s very limited signage outside until you’re up close. Most hotels had big signs down the side or on the roof to say but the citizen m is just a black building from a distance. I’d stayed before so knew this but for someone who hadn’t, they might’ve struggled Didn’t eat breakfast here as at £16 each I found this expensive The bar was good and well stocked but snacks pricey and food range wasn’t wide Rooms are very small and controls for lights etc are on an iPad. We’re not tech people so found all that a bit of a faff . Room was comfortable though but wasn’t turned over by housekeeping. We didn’t know we had to request it. I’d stayed before but only one night stays so had never needed housekeeping I’d stay here in Glasgow again though

Lots of good things about our first stay in a Citizen M - funky quirky decor, great central location, fantastic friendly staff, nice bar area, but the room was not for us. The rooms look good but are v small (room width is the size of the bed, be prepared to climb in!), bathroom is glass pod in the room (too small for the sink which is in the bedroom), iPad operated lights, blinds, TV etc which was just a hassle. Room was too hot even at lowest temp setting, & this was Glasgow in November! I gather the rooms are identical the world over, so I’m afraid I wouldn’t ho back. It was ok for one night but wouldn’t fancy it for longer.
