Really can't recommend Glades highly enough for value, location and cleanliness. Everything you need for a long or short stay, and Robert the owner is extremely helpful and accomodating. Have stayed here a few times now in trips back to Glasgow, and it's my first choice now when available:-)

Hi Robert, Thanks for having us in your place. We'd like to express our appreciation and say that ykur services were fantastic. It is very good value for money and the facilities that you offer are good. I think mf you meep the price similar, people will happily use your service all the time.  I'll recommend your property to my friends who'll happen to visit Glasgow. When we're in Glasgow again, we'll definitely try booking your place first. Take care, and thanks again.

Fantastic stay, Robert was a great communicator and getting in was easy. Parking was simple too. Would definitely stay again. The room was quiet and comfy, the bed was good and most importantly the whole place was spotless.

Great communication from booking to arrival. Last minute booking made for Scotland game at Hampden. Me and my friend, (females) arrived later than expected but Robert stayed in touch and was there with a smile when we arrived. We couldn’t get parked as streets were busy due to the match. Robert came out and moved his own car to give us his space. Robert explained there was no breakfast included, but offered us use of the kitchen if we wanted to make anything. We were then shown to our room which was larger than I expected, basic and could perhaps do with an update but for only £60 for the night so we weren’t expecting pure luxury. Also, baring in mind it there was a Scotland game that night and the majority of hotels had seriously hiked up their prices, and with free on street parking, we were pretty pleased . Robert talked us through everything that we would need to know, keys, shower, Wi-Fi etc. The room has a big king bed and a single bed sofa, tea, coffee, kettle etc, big towels, big powerful shower and well lit mirror. Glades House is only a 10/15 minute walk to Hampden. The walk to and from Hampden involves a little bit of walking through a grassy park and a few trees but these were reasonably well lit and there were lots of people walking in the same direction both ways so felt totally safe. (I read one of the reviews that said it wasn’t a great neighbourhood, not sure where they live but we did not think this about the area at all) So if you’re looking for somewhere cheap, welcoming and clean to stay over with free on street parking and aren’t fussed about luxury then I would recommend Glades House, especially if you want somewhere close to Hampden. We would definitely stay here again. No photos as we were literally in and out when we arrived, straight to bed after the match and up and away in the morning at 6.30am ☺️

Was met by the host even tho it was a 7pm check in by me, fully went through everything with me, showing that he wasn’t in a rush to get off. Great big room with two sofas, king size bed and dining table and chairs. Plenty of tea, coffee, milk and sugar. Shower and w/c, separate was very clean and great pressure for the water. Good stay even tho brief.

My son and I had a lovely overnight stay for a concert. Staff were welcoming. Bed was super comfortable and huge. The area is very quiet so no outside noise at all. We will definitely book again. Huge bonus was that it’s so close to the stadium. Great price! Thanks for having us!

Cobwebs in room, mattress topper of “mattress” for the camp bed in a “triple room” and it smelt awful. Never mind the “condiment tray” that had an old jar of coffee that looked like it had been there for years. The main bed didn’t even have its headboards fixed properly and the property is generally just in desperate need of attention. We felt that it was so unclean we had to wash anything before we used it. Regardless of all of that he justified the £170 extra price (£220) per night for the fact it was near Hampden on a concert night…seemed quite happy to leave us to it when it was clear we weren’t impressed. Then even tried to gaslight us when we complained about the state of the room as they looked much cleaner online by saying it was a “misunderstanding” and that we should have paid even more for a “suite” which just looked like the normal standard of room you would expect in a regular budget hotel to be completely honest. He also then deleted my full review multiple times from google which has made me even more angry and hence why I am going on here.

Stayed here for two nights and was perfect for my stay, beds were really comfy and the heating in my room was great as I could turn it up and down as I wished. I opted for a shared bathroom, which was never a problem because there are a few bathrooms throughout the house. The free laundry service was perfect. Parking was never a problem and my room looked over a nice garden. Don’t be put off by any bad reviews. You get what you pay for and with a really nice host. (I think his name was Robert) thanks Glades house. I will definitely stay again soon.

theres better value in glasgow to be had. First impressions, looks nice from the outside, great for parking, upon entry, awful old peoples home smell in the hallway, dated but clean, there was a black hair on the bedsheet next to a pillow and a piece of chewing gum stuck to the skirting between the beds, was OK apart from that. I seen a review on booking.com titled 'glasweigen gem', seriously?? Who goes to an old peoples home and says it's a gem, maybe if you've lossed your sense of smell and can't see the odd hair or chewing gum cause you have impaired vision? They aye it's spot on! This guest house is in or close to a very rough area, shop around, you'll find just as good value but without the bad bits.
