Based on the hotel being a "5 star," I had high expectations.This place pleasantly surprised us. The staff ( and I mean EVERYONE) from the door man>reception>concierge> restaurant staff> room cleaners/ maintenance and spa staff were Superb!!--This is the main reason for the 5 star rating. ALL the employees are so attentive, genuinely polite, friendly,SOCIAL and caring. The customer service level we experienced and witnessed, to all their guests is above and beyond exceptional!! We only planned staying here for 3 nights and were SO impressed that we doubled our nights. The breakfast is fantastic ( including the service). Although little, the gym has literally EVERYTHING you need for a complete work out. The Spa is wonderful! Yes, this is one of the only hotels in the city center with a full service spa, thermal pools, saunas, etc and guest can use it at n extra charge. Recommendations to ownership/ hotel controller : A few capital investments are needed: 1-New carpets ( the color is too light and all the stains show) 2- a few sofas/ chairs around the hotel need TLC & mending 3- 2nd floor lobby is wonderful and under utilized.. i recommend social hour to be moved upstairs( during winter) to accommodate more guest as the lobby gets very congested & cold with limited seating. 4- Investing in a larger fitness room ( or relocating it to a larger room). Currently only about 2 ppl fit in it at once. A minim of 10 should fit. 5-Hiring more cleaning staff for the spa during operating hours 7:30am-8pm. Spa ( cleanliness is important to guests ( more focus on detailed cleaning in the pools/ saunas is required). 6- Continue investing in your management & staff. They are your most valuable asset! hi …

My husband and I could not believe just how fabulous this hotel was! From the second we got to the door we had the warmest welcome with a complimentary glass of wine whilst we checked in and a lovely gentleman took our bags to our room. The gentleman who checked us in was friendly and so helpful. The atmosphere was wonderful and the grandeur decor was stunning, I especially loved the sweeping staircase and adorned walls with artwork and the stunning chandelier to set it all off. Due to my husbands status with this hotel group we were upgraded to one of the most beautiful hotel rooms I’ve ever had the pleasure of staying in. The bathroom was stunning as was the room itself. Unfortunately we had arranged to go out with friends for the evening or we would have happily spent our evening in the hotel bar area. I had the best sleep in the most comfortable bed. In the morning I had booked a treatment at the spa. Despite the main spa being refurbished I really enjoyed the garden spa in its simplicity. The staff were again wonderful and friendly. I had the garden spa to myself (maybe because it was first thing on Sunday morning) I opted for a deep tissue massage which was out of this world and spent the next hour in the relaxation room sipping lemon and ginger tea… simply bliss! My son and daughter in law gifted me a spa and meal day at Blytheswood Kimpton for myself and husband. We both enjoyed the relaxation in the thermal spas. Staff are very attentive in both the Spa and dining room. We both had a lovely time and would definitely recommend

Reception staff were really friendly and had to be super helpful as our travel agency had messed up the booking. I got a great room they really are lovely. I tried the spa twice it was so nice and relaxing I skipped the breakfast so can’t review that!

Lovely lobby, friendly staff, room spacious and clean except the shower screen had marks at the bottom, bath deep and water hot. Spa was fun but water temp was a little cool. Comfortable sleep, bed and pillows great. Really good location in Glasgow. Eggs Florentine was good for brekkie, buffet breakfast too was lovely but our table was very close to another so was a bit uncomfy eating so close to the other table.

We have just returned from having an overnight stay at this hotel and it was fantastic. The rooms were beautiful and had everything you could think you needed and more. Every member of staff were so helpful David in the front hall was brilliant could not do enough for us. The breakfast was amazing one of the best I have ever had and Charlie who served us was so nice. I was so sad to leave wished we had another night to use more of the hotels facilities. It was our first time here but certainly won’t be our last can’t wait to return.

Service here was great. The conierge (David) was absolutely awesome. He made our stay after a long overseas trip so much easier and pleasant. He took care of transportation and dinner reservations and continually guided us in the right direction. He was an outstanding introduction to Scotland.

This is the note I sent to the hotel after a two night stay; We have just left your hotel after a two night stay. We are wondering if you have any idea just how amazing your hotel is. The customer experience is absolutely outstanding and this applies to absolutely everyone we met. From Yann on the concierge desk, and David your head concierge; both were just brilliant. Evo who did our check in. Another superstar. We then went to the spa and Hyat and Shannon who looked after us, were remarkable and not just friendly, but really knowledgeable about their jobs. They loved what they do and it was very obvious. Then there was the restaurant staff who could not have done enough. Your staff are respectful, courteous and totally committed to providing a super experience. Myself and my friend wondered has Glasgow Kimpton had some magic customer service dust sprinkled on the hotel. We have travelled and stayed in so many hotels and this is way on the very top of any list of hotels we have both ever stayed in. Iasg restaurant food was fantastic (monkfish was stunning and the plaice was also excellent) and the breakfast experience was also wonderful. Congratulations and a huge thank you to the whole team. What a fantastic stay! My friend and I stayed for 2 nights for a spa break and absolutely loved our stay. From the moment we entered the hotel until the moment we left every member of staff was friendly, welcoming and very helpful. The spa was perfect, very relaxing and the staff, especially Elaine who did my facial, were very professional and helpful. Would stay here again and will recommend.

This was my first time staying at the hotel as I live locally but I really like the spa so I booked an overnight stay and treatments for my mum and I as part of her birthday gift. We had a fabulous time from the moment we arrived until the moment we left. The concierge were fantastic, the reception staff were wonderful as were the staff in the bar, restaurant and spa. Nothing was too much trouble and it really was service with a smile, the staff are a true asset to the hotel. We arrived at 3pm and went to the bar for a late lunch and complimentary glass of fizz, our bag was whisked off to our room. The bar was busy with a really nice atmosphere, it's such a beautiful space just like the lobby. We also really appreciated the late check out as our spa treatments were at noon the following day and it allowed us to go back to our room and get organised before leaving. The birthday card with drinks voucher and truffles was a really nice gesture, my mum appreciated it so thank you for doing that. We also thought the drinks reception at 5pm in the lobby was a lovely touch. We made use of the thermal experience in the evening and really enjoyed it, although it was much busier than I expected. This was my first visit since the refurb and I thought it looked fab! Back to the room and despite our best efforts we were just too tired to do anything else so we ordered some room service and chilled for the rest of the evening. The beds are super comfy and yes, the view from our room wasn't great with very little natural light but the wall to wall curtains made it feel very cosy, I liked the decor, I thought it was in perfect keeping for a spa break, tranquil and relaxing. We were also busy enjoying everything the hotel had to offer so we barely noticed it. Breakfast the following morning was really good, plenty of choice at the buffet and a good menu if you wanted to order something from the kitchen. The spa treatments were amazing, it was such a perfect end to our stay, we both had the Oskia face and body fusion treatments. Highly recommended!! All in all a faultless stay. As soon as you walk through the doors you wouldn't know you were in Glasgow City Centre. There's a lovely relaxed vibe about the place and I enjoyed it so much I'm coming back in 7 weeks with three friends to do exactly the same again for my own birthday! I even had the spa booked before I left on Sunday afternoon. Can't wait!…
