I booked in for one night having read the reviews and noticed its 4 star rating. My experience was far from 4 star such that l could not persuade myself to stay in the accommodation l had booked. The approach to the property gave rise to initial foreboding and l wasn’t certain that the hotel was actually open, so gloomy was the appearance. This was emphasised by the brightness and gaiety of surrounding properties which were brightly lit and decorated as would be expected for the festive period. My foreboding was confirmed when l collected the key to my room and was pointed in the direction of an external door to my right. This led into a dark, uninspiring corridor which felt neither safe nor cheery. The room itself was tiny and with very poor quality fittings; no USB port, no bedside light without getting out of bed, tea and coffee tray unclean. The room smelt very strongly of bleach to the extent that my eyes watered. The bathroom, it should be said, was clean enough. The bed was saggy and small. The pillows and pillow protectors, oh my word. Shocking. This was more than enough to persuade me l could not stay there. No thought had been given to the comfort and well-being of the guest or to the effect of such a dismal and gloomy approach to the property. The decor was badly in need of updating as was the carpet and other fittings. I had arrived with such good expectations but left with a sense of shock that anyone should consider this accommodation to be acceptable. Perhaps the other rooms in the main house lived up to expectations but the room l viewed in the side extension most certainly did not.

We needed a room last minute and saw this hotel on booking.com. At £36 for the night we were thinking it would be basic but the room was fab. Lovely big double bed and a comfy single, very nice modern bathroom with rainfall shower and it was spotlessly clean. Dimitri on reception was lovely and very welcoming, even didn’t mind our one year old trying to get at everything 😂 Would highly recommend this lovely hotel

I had the deluxe triple room on a leisure trip with two others. One night stay and the room was spacious for three people. It had amenities like free tea and coffee, free basic shower amenities and even a hairdryer. Great price shared between three people. Although the building seems a little old, and taps in the room was a bit loose (still work fine with no leaks!!), it was perfect for our one night stay. The staff at reception was friendly, and they have parking space for guests, and a large green area to sit outside in nice weather and relax!

From the outside the hotel is a little shabby but inside the rooms are immaculate, spacious and comfortable. Large garden to the rear for use of guests. Rooms basic, kettle & hairdryer, no fridge or microwave available and currently the hotel does not have any dining facilities. Reception staff very friendly and helpful, supplied plates, cutlery and bowls. Local Sainsbury’s handy for breakfast cereal, fruit, snacks etc. The hotel was excellent value for money, taxi services cheap and easily available to get into town and not much more than using the buses but a lot more convenient! The only downside for me personally is that the walls are paper thin (a lot of rooms in a modern extension at back of hotel) so noise was a really big issue. Every night was blighted by the noise of other guests who either didn’t realise or didn’t care about their noise level. No phone in room and only limited reception availability. It would probably be less of a problem if customers were advised on checking in that sound proofing is poor so consideration of other guests would be appreciated. Door slamming and general noise detracted what would have been an excellent choice of hotel. However if you’re hard of hearing or not bothered by noise it would be absolutely fine.

Booked 2 nights last minute as we were visiting family in Giffnock and got a great price and the location was handy for town & visiting family. Dimitrios the manager acknowledged my request for a quiet family room prior to our arrival with a welcoming message. Upon arrival we were upgraded and our room was perfectly clean, well decorated, great shower and everything was to a really good standard, The staff (Dimitrios Nisa), were professional, friendly, warm and welcoming, we requested a hair dryer & iron and they arrived promptly. The room was serviced and fresh towels provided, the only niggle was that the welcome tray wasn’t replenished, so we had no milk for our morning drinks and I couldn’t get hold of anyone to request it. Great wee hotel, would happily recommend to others and return myself next time we’re visiting. Efharisto 🙏

Our 2-nights stay was genuinely great, meeting all required Covid19 rules. It is a quiet and peaceful establishment, and our room was thoroughly cleaned. A special thank you to Dimitri, who helped us out when we asked him about which places should we visit in Glasgow! He sure brings his Greek hospitality talent to Scottish standards, which made our stay insanely pleasant. It's 5 * from us!

Just booked into what I believed to be a 4 star , this is 2 star at best , the decor is terribly dated , the chair I'm sat in writing this as got a split in it , no telephone in room or USB ports , I can only describe arrival as being like colditz , the interior did not disappoint its appearance from the outside , pretty much akin to a communist hotel from the sixties , oh and this was a deluxe room , lesson learned go branded and avoid these dumps , dont wish to scrutinise any further for fear of being any more disappointed than I already am .AVOID

Lovely hotel with friendly staff and a great car park. Our room was really nice, clean and comfortable. Lovely toiletries! The hotel is a 5 minute walk away from Crosshill Station where you can get into Glasgow City for £1 each! A large Asda is a 15 minute walk away. There are some lovely pubs and restaurants around and about. Great location and good quality hotel. Highly recommended 😁

Second time we’ve stayed in this hotel. Spacious room with everything you need and more. Power shower, toiletries, wardrobe space, travel cot on request, huge smart TV, tea/coffee, hairdryer and comfortable beds. Very clean, well organised and quiet. So reasonably priced compared to others in the south side too - we’ll stay here again and again.

Pro: - friendly staff - nice clean big room, including tea/coffee - cheaper than most of the hostels we stayed in. And for that you get a private room, with a private bathroom. Heaven for backpackers - Nice garden Con: - it's a little bit away from the city center, but that's no problem with the train
