We stayed here back in May, when we were in Glasgow for a wedding. It was incredibly good value for money and our room was more than adequate. It was dated (fair enough),but it was clean and there was plenty of hot water, the beds were comfy and the staff were very friendly and pleasant, with some banter thrown in...

Booked this without reading the reviews. The entrance hall was dirty and untidy and the smell throughout was overpowering. We didnt get to see the room but the dirty duvet and pillows in the hall way were enough to put anyone off staying here. All i can say is avoid it or stay at your own peril

This place is cheap but it has no excuse to be in the state it is in. I booked this off the cuff without reading any review and I really regreted it. We were in the basement which stank of food and damp, perhaps the upper floors are better. Never again.

We booked 2 rooms 6 weeks in advance and when we arrived were told that they had made a mistake and didn't have rooms for us. Instead they booked us into the Willow Guesthouse just a couple of doors from them. The owner/manager? stated that he had already paid for the rooms and that we owed him 54 pounds in...

Phoned up (via laterooms) for this hotel 3 weeks in advance. Whilst on the train heading to the hotel received a call on my mobile from the hotel stating if we weren't there in 30 minutes they were selling our room. Arrived at the run down hotel to be told it was our own fault this had happened (despite it...

I wish I'd done a bit more research before booking in here - but fortunately it was for just one night. As another reviewer has mentioned, there is only street parking. I had to drive around the block several times before a space came free reasonably close to the lodge. Then I had to drag my suitcases up several flights...

It's not the best place you've ever been too but the sheets and the bathroom are clean and the staff is helpful. The location is also very good. Just a few minutes away on foot from the city center and some major city attractions. Although WiFi is free, the signal is quite week. I had to stand outside my room...

We had an odd time with this hotel. My husband and I stayed there for two nights in May. We found the location to be great and the accommodations and breakfast to adequate for the cost of the room. Our room was in the basement, which the booking had noted it might be so that was fine and we had...

I booked with Alba Lodge because I was led to believe that parking was provided. I subsequently found out that it wasn't provided and that there was on street parking if I was lucky. I cancelled my booking, but they are refusing to give me a refund or ven respond to my emails. Do not waste your money on this...
