My husband and I had a simply marvelous time staying here. Thanks to john and his awesome hospitality! But even better, the aesthetics of the guest house is simply beautiful. The rooms, the bathrooms, the conservatory, and most especially the common room. I have threatened john with a return visit. Lol! Best things in life really do come in small... More

I have just spent last 6 months at the Guest House working away from home. Quite simply the most comfortable and friendliest place I have ever stayed at. Being away from friends and family is never easy, but this place made the whole thing a pleasure. I was lucky enough to find it by accident, but I would strongly recommend... More

I would genuinely recommend the Glasgow Guest House to any of our friends and family. We stayed for two nights in the small flat, which allowed us the freedom to cook lunch for the kids and they had room to play and watch TV without disturbing other guests. Everyone was kind and welcoming and always helpful. Breakfasts were top notch... More

We found The Glasgow Guest House on Trip Advisor and it wasn't a disappointment. We were going to a wedding nearby and we decided to see a bit of Glasgow so we stayed two nights. John was a very welcoming and professional host. Whilst we would have preferred a room with a double bed we settled for a lovely room... More

We've just spent 3 nights here for our sons wedding. John and James made us so welcome with their friendly personal service. Johns scrambled eggs are scrumptious and James has a bottomless coffee pot!. The overall standard of everything was high and proved an ideal base for all our family to stay in. We can thoroughly recommend it. Jenny and... More

This place is excellent! The house itself if beautiful and the owners go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. John has loads of local knowledge and is happy to suggest things to see and do, good places to eat and the best way to navigate around the city. I can't recommend this hotel enough and we will definately... More

We've just had a couple of nights here for a family wedding at the House for an Art Lover which is just five minutes walk away. We stopped in the family 'apartment' which was great with two young kids, loads of space and a decent sized kitchen. However, the thing that sets this place apart is the friendly and professional... We are regular visitors to Glasgow Guest House and like all the regular guests we have met we are great fans . We spent four days there in early December. John is a great host and goes several miles extra if necessary to facilitate guests. James, his Housekeeping Manager( and specialist in Glasgow humour) makes sure that the high standard... More
